Joye is a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is a descendant of Dr. John Taliaferro a Minuteman who fought during the American Revolution. Joye is the daughter of the late Stella and CB Jeffries III. She is married to Melville Eugene Pugh and they reside in Douglas, Georgia. Dr. Pugh has written many books, has an audio edition of one of her books, as well as, an album of her original songs. She was a contracted author with Tate Publishing through 2016. Dr. Joye Pugh, as of May 2017, became a new contracted author with Sacred Word Publishing.

- Paul and Lauren talk about Faren. Doctor Lassiter is in Genoa City. After talking to the Abbotts, he pays Ashley a visit. Faren tells Andy that Evan loves Michelle and she's not that woman anymore. Mary and Carl talk about their son and Lauren's future. Evan comes to Faren's place and shows pictures to her.
- Nikki has a meeting with Doctor Lassiter. She introduces herself as Ashley's friend but Doctor Lassiter says that Ashley has never mentioned her name. Mary gives Lauren a hard time. She says that Paul wants to have children. Ashley calls Jack and says she would like to see him.
- Lauren's afraid of the dinner she'll have tonight with Paul and his parents. Ashley and doctor Lassiter are at the Colonnades. Paul sees Evan and a little girl getting out of the hospital. Later, he runs into Andy who seems upset. Andy explains that Farren has endometriosis.
- Lauren imagines her life with Paul and their three children - a life she's not looking forward to. Paul tells Faren he saw Evan and a little girl in the hospital. Faren admits that Evan paid her a visit with Betsy. Nina tells Danny that Philip and Cricket are having dinner together.
- Paul tells Amy that he and Lauren broke up. Lauren arrives at her mother's place and explains what just has happened with Paul. JoAnna pays Paul a visit. He explains that he wants to have children and Lauren doesn't. JoAnna points out that he loves Lauren and Lauren loves him.
- Mary encourages Paul to call Dana who agrees to meet Paul later at his apartment. Carol calls Cricket to tell her that Mister Abbott wants to see her as soon as possible. Philip calls Jill. She tells him that Cricket will lose her job because of the car accident she was involved in. Dana arrives at Paul's place. Lauren lets her in.
- Dana tells Paul that she wants to be with Chris again. Paul wishes her to be happy. She says she'll never forget what he did for her. Danny tells Philip he proposed to Cricket. He loves her and thinks he'll make her happy. Cricket asks Philip if he slept with Nina. Philip says he was drunk and doesn't remember anything. Andy learns that Evan filed for a divorce. In the same time, Faren starts remembering her and Evan's wedding.
- Katherine introduces Cricket to Rex. Later, Cricket and Philip announce that they are engaged. Andy reads the note that Faren left for him. He's upset. Paul arrives and tries to comfort his friend. He says Faren told him nothing because he would have tried to stop her to go to Pittsburgh, and she will be home tonight. In Pittsburgh, Janet recognize Michelle/Faren. She's not happy she's back, but she allows her to see Betsy.
- Faren is alone in her hotel room. She has more memories of her wedding with Evan. Andy is upset that Faren hasn't come back home yet. Paul is there for him. Lauren gets a call from her father. He would like to have dinner with her tonight, but she says she'll see him tomorrow instead. Later, while Lauren and Brad are kissing, JoAnna enters the room.
- Lauren gets a call. She's told that her father had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. Later, a doctor explains that everything was done to save Neil Fenmore to no avail. He's dead. Nikki and Ashley are arguing when Steven enters the office.
- John Abbott congratulates Brad on his good job. He adds he's like a son for him. Later, Brad hears Jack and Lauren's talk. Jack would like Lauren to seduce Brad. That would get Brad out of Jabot and out of the Abbott family. Evan's still in love with his wife. He doesn't want to divorce. Janet threatens Faren with a gun. Evan arrives. Janet doesn't listen to him. She shoots. Andy wonders what Faren will decide. Paul tries to reassure him.
- Cricket tells Philip her mom lied to her about her dad. She thought he died while fighting for his country but her mom doesn't even know his last name. Jill is told that Rex bought an engagement ring. She thinks Rex is going to propose to her.
- Paul shows Mary his new office. She's proud of him and questions him about his personal life. Lauren arrives and says Paul needs a new wardrobe that fits his new office. She offers to help him to choose new clothes. Katherine has learned that Rex was hired by Jill to seduce her.
- Philip tells Jill he'll attend Rex and Katherine's wedding today. He adds that he loves Rex a lot; he's like a father to him. Nina is about to gave birth. Paul tells Mary despite his new office and new wardrobe, he's still the man she has always loved. Later, a young woman, named Lynne arrives. She says she would like to work for Paul. Cricket, Esther and Philip are attending Rex and Katherine's wedding.
- Philip tells Cricket that Nina has been living in the Chancellor Estate for months. Now, she's in the hospital. She's about to give birth to her baby. Nathan got an invitation to an art gallery. He goes there with Paul and Amy. Paul is interested in a painting and a mysterious beautiful young lady visiting the museum.
- Amy gets a call. Her father had a stroke. She tells Nathan and Paul that she wants to be there for her dad. Nathan gives her a lift to the airport. Doctor Laski tells Philip that Nina wants to see him, but the young man says he wants nothing to do with her.
- Paul decides to hire Lynne. He calls her. She's ready to start working for him the next morning. Jack tells John he wants to leave Jabot. John is upset. He has always dreamed of a great family working altogether. Jack says he has other dreams.
- Paul tells Mary that he is seeing Lauren again. George wants Cassandra to redecorate Paul's apartment. Traci tells Brad that she doesn't want to move to Chicago. She wants to stay in Genoa City because her family has always been living here.
- George gets a call. His niece Brittany is coming to Genoa City. George is happy and wants to have dinner with her, Cassandra and Paul. Paul tells Cassandra she's a married woman, so the two of them are over. He doesn't want to betray George. Cassandra says they won't be able to avoid each other. She tells him about George's invitation. At first, Paul says he won't be coming . He changes his mind after Cassandra told him that George's niece will be there too.
- Nina, Cricket, Philip, Jill and Katherine are in the hospital. Doctor Scott Grainger tells them that little Philip has meningitis. Danny, who learned from Rex about the baby's condition, arrived at the hospital to support Cricket. He wants her to go back home but she doesn't want to leave the hospital. Philip intervenes and tells Danny that he loves Cricket and Cricket loves his son. Paul and Lauren have dinner together. Cassandra and George are in the same restaurant. Geoge attacks a man who was looking too much at his wife. The man apologizes and says he thought that Cassandra was his daughter.
- Paul tells Lauren how he met and fell in love with Cassandra. He adds he didn't know she was a married woman, whose husband happened to be a friend of his. When he found out about it, he broke up with her. Brad tells Traci that Lauren isn't after him but her ex-husband Paul. George confides in Paul about his relationship with Cassandra.
- Little Philip is still fighting for his life. According to Dr. Scott Grainger, news aren't good. Rex tries to convince Philip to tell Nina about it. George tells Paul he's impotent. Later, Paul calls Cassandra and asks her to come to his office.

- Paul and Lauren are having lunch together. Lauren asks Paul how he fell in love with Cassandra. Later, Paul enters his apartment. He's surprised to find Cassandra there. Nina and Philip leave the hospital thinking their son had died. Actually, little Philip's heart is beating again, but Scott says the baby's very ill.
