A former nun, whose convent was closed by a decree of Napoleon, this strange woman ended her life as a lowly server in an inn. But, before she died, word of her visions spread and troubled many. Because of that, Anne-Catherine had to suffer the worst humiliations. On Good Friday of the year 1823, Catherine, in a trance, finally expired experiencing the sufferings of Christ on the cross. Had she been a pretender or someone exceptional?
