Narayan Gopal Guruwacharya (October 4, 1939 - December 5, 1990) was a prominent popular singer and composer of Nepali music.Regarded one of the most significant cultural icons in Nepal,He is widely referred as "Swar Samrat" (meaning: Emperor of Voice) in Nepali music. He was also known as "Tragedy King".His voice range allowed him to sing songs of every genre of Nepalese music. Often, his songs were orchestrated with the sitar, harmonium and flute.He was music director of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He belongs to the first generation of Nepali singers who became professional singers. His songs have also been used in several movies and dramas across the country.- Mohammed Khaled Hossain also known as Sajal Khaled was a Bangladeshi mountaineer and film director. He was the 5th Bangladeshi to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
Hossain was the director of the movie "Kajoler Dinratri". For making this movie he got the national grant in 2012 form the government of Bangladesh and it was released in 2013. Beside this full-length film, he had also made several documentary films. Prakash Thapa (18 June 1930 - 26 May 2004) was a prominent director of Nepali Film Industy. Started his career in Hindi films, He was brought to Nepali Film Industry by Yadav Kharel. He made his first film Man Ko Bandh for Royal Nepal Film Corporation in 1973 A.D. - Zina Rachevsky, born 1930 in New York City, the daughter of Vladimir Serguéiévitch Rachevsky and Harriet Kathleen Straus, a Russian-born French-American socialite, film actress, and from 1968 a Gelug Tibetan Buddhist nun. She was brought in France, arrived in NYC in the summer of 1940. At 18 she marries the five year older Count Bernard d'Harcourt. The couple divorce two years later. While in Hollywood, Zina Rachevsky takes a course in drama/theater as well as acting lessons. She make her film debut in "Maya" (1949), appears in 10 feature films and television productions, belongs to the in-crowd in Paris, Geneva, NYC and other places, and also have time for a brief marriage with Willam Jay Barker. In 1957 she meets Conrad Rooks who through the riches of his father, Russel Rooks, takes care of her extravagant needs. Zina Rachevsky gives birth to their son Alexander in 1958. Her deep rooted ethereal interest makes her believe that she is the reincarnation of Madame Blavatsky, the founder of the Theosophical Society. In 1966 her daughter Rhea is born, followed by the death of her father's death the next year, Zina Rachevsky and her baby daughter travels to India, arriving in Darjeeling, from Sri Lanka, looking for a Tibetan lama, Dromo Geshe Rinpoche. In 1968 she becomes Anila Thubten Chang Chub Palmo, receiving the novice vows from Trijang Rinpoche in Dharamsala in the Punjab region of north-west India. After being to a long retreat at Thubten Choeling as a Buddhist nun, she dies at age 42 after an illness of three days in a simple room at a monastery in Nepal. Her seven year old daughter holding her hands. There are rumors she had mistakenly eaten a poisonous plant or suffered peritonitis. Her body is cremated after three days at the Thubten Choling Monastery and her ashes scattered.

Alok Nembang was a Nepali film director. He was also a well-known music video director in Nepal for more than a decade. After returning to Nepal from the United States, where he gained knowledge about theater and film-making, Alok directed over 500 music videos of Nepali music .His passion for making films was fulfilled with the production of Sano Sansar (2008), which was a big hit. Alok's second directorial venture Kohi Mero (2010) made him popular among the Nepalese cinema audience. His third film Ajhai Pani was released in February 2015 after his death.
