English footballer Les Shannon was born in Liverpool, on the 12th March 1926, where played over 250 games for Burnley Football Club during the 1950s and went onto a coaching and managerial career after starting his career at his home town club.
Although he enjoyed mixed fortunes as a football manager, his knowledge of football was so highly valued that he worked with Pelé in coordinating the football sequences in Victory (1981).
