The son of Italian theatre critic Antonio Cervi, Gino Cervi was one of the most famous Italian actors, first on stage, then on screen and finally on television. He appeared in his first play in 1924, a year after his father's death. He won world fame with three movies directed by Alessandro Blasetti: Aldebaran (1935), Ettore Fieramosca (1938), and An Adventure of Salvator Rosa (1939). After the WWII, his film career flourished, and then on television, he found new fame as Inspector Jules Maigret in a series of TV Movies based on the novels of Georges Simenon.- Composer

He studied at the music conservatory in Stockholm 1918-1920 and at the music conservatory in Weimar 1920-1922. From the mid 1920s he wrote the music for Ernst Rolf's and Karl Gerhard's revues. He was a bandleader, had his own publishing company, 'Edition Sylvain' and wrote music for movies, especially during the 1940s when he was musical advisor for the production company Svensk Filmindustri (SF). For the last 20 years of his life he lived abroad, including a few years on Fiji as a banana planter. One of Sweden's most hardworking composers, he wrote more than 500 melodies, including 'Säg det i toner', 'Nu ska vi vara snälla', 'Anna, du kan väl stanna' and 'Tangokavaljeren'.- Diana Dei was born on 1 March 1914 in Rome, Lazio, Italy. She was an actress, known for Perfide.... ma belle (1959), Madonna delle rose (1953) and Arrivano i dollari! (1957). She was married to György Földes. She died on 3 January 1999 in Castiglione del Lago, Umbria, Italy.
