Joan Didion was born on 5 December 1934 in Sacramento, California, USA. She was a writer, known for A Star Is Born (2018), A Star Is Born (1976) and Up Close & Personal (1996). She was married to John Gregory Dunne. She died on 23 December 2021 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.- A child actress who showed heart-warming potential in the 1940s, child actress Sharyn Moffett (born Patricia Sharyn Moffett) was a cute presence in a number of sentimental tales. Closer to young Margaret O'Brien than Shirley Temple in type and demeanor, Sharyn was born on September 12, 1936 in Alameda, California to a show business family. Her mother was a dancer (billed as Gladyce Roberts) and her father, Bob Moffett, a singer and film bit player who once performed in burlesque shows and barbershop quartets. A younger brother, Gregory Moffett also went on to appear in films as a child actor.
Sharyn's parents, who met doing theater in Hollywood, left show business to raise their two children. The family eventually moved to Anaheim, California. They practically pushed her into a career from infancy with little results until the age of 8 when she won her first role, the lead in the animal movie My Pal Wolf (1944). From then on she added tyke charm and caring to a number of warm, sentimental tales that also featured animals, including A Boy, a Girl and a Dog (1946) and Rusty Leads the Way (1948). Her best role was a strong, dramatic part in her fourth film, Child of Divorce (1946) in which she was the focal point.
She had a central roles in Banjo (1947), Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948) and in The Judge Steps Out (1948), which had brother Gregory making his film debut in an uncredited role. By her awkward teens, however, Sharyn's career had run out of steam and she departed after her second lead role opposite Margaret O'Brien in the slight summer camp tale Her First Romance (1951).
Sharyn eventually married and moved to Pennsylvania where she and her husband became Episcopalian ministers. Devoted to her spiritual work, she once was the national president of the "Big Sisters" organization. - Editor

With an ability to ride a horse and drive wagons as well as the knowledge to accurately portray historic figures, Sean has become a go-to guy for historical television and films. With expertise from the early Colonial period to 18th Century history and of course, Civil War, Sean is easily dropped into a period piece and understanding his place and role better than most folks with no appreciation for history.- Diane Elizabeth Askew was born in Newcastle, England, on August 6, 1965. She moved to the United States with her family in 1979, settling in Chicago, and then in Mountain View, California. Diane attended the University of California at Berkeley, where she received a B.A. degree in Anthropology (1992). In 1991, Diane moved to Sonoma County, just north of San Francisco, after marrying Breck Parkman, an archaeologist and storyteller. Breck enjoyed photography and quickly realized that Diane had a remarkable gift, a true "photographer's eye." Breck convinced Diane to explore her abilities as a photographer. The two of them went on numerous photography outings to places as far away as New Mexico, Alaska, and British Columbia. Diane enrolled in photography classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and took every course they had to offer. She later interned with a local wedding photographer, Dwight Caswell. After working as Dwight's assistant, Diane went on to become a wedding photographer herself and spent the next several decades photographing hundreds of Wine Country weddings in the northern San Francisco Bay area. Diane was a great wedding photographer, but her real passion was for nature photography. She especially enjoyed photographing birds, both at a rookery near her home in Sonoma County and on Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida. In the final years of her life, Diane became a photojournalist, something she had always dreamed of doing. She shot photos for local interest stories, including protest marches and wildfires. Diane's photos appeared in local newspapers and journals, and were occasionally featured in art exhibits. Her photos were also used in two documentaries about the disastrous Tubbs Fire of 2017. Diane gave birth to a son, Jon Parkman, in 2006. Six years later, she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Determined to beat the illness, Diane waged a heroic battle for nine years. Regrettably, she lost that battle on December 23, 2021. Diane's son and family spread her ashes in the Valley of the Moon, at a spot she called her "happy place."
