In the fall of 2011 he decided to take the plunge into indie filmmaking and began to plot out his first effort as a writer, producer, and director: a short horror film entitled "The Body Bag", which was completed in June, 2012. Shortly afterwards, Dean, along with his actress wife, Judy, formed their own production company, Undaunted Films, and plan on producing one film per year. First up is the supernatural thriller "Ghostline", which was shot in the Spring and Summer of 2013 and is slated for a 2014 release.
