American astronomer and a science fiction writer. His most notable story is "A Subway Named Möbius" (1950), a fantasy based on mathematics and particularly topology.
He received a doctorate in astronomy from the University of Chicago in 1946; his undergrad was from the University of Arizona in 1940.[1] He is noted for the concept of Doppler tomography, which he presented at a symposium at Mount Wilson Observatory in 1958. He served as associate editor for the Annual Review of Astronomy and Astrophysics prior to 1966. From 1964 until 1967 he served as a councillor for the American Astronomical Society.- María Victorero was born on 2 June 1885 in Madrid, Madrid, Spain. She was an actress, known for Un hombre de negocios (1945), Noche de Reyes (1949) and Filigrana (1949). She was married to Juan Espantaleón. She died on 10 November 1969 in Madrid, Madrid, Spain.
