Adam Driver has had a very interesting career in the industry starting with her supporting roles in the 2010s. After his on-screen debut in Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, the actor continued improving himself with his supporting performances in Girls, Lincoln, Frances Ha, and Inside Lleywn Davis. The actor has now become a great leading man in dramas as well as blockbusters.

One of his most entertaining supporting roles was in the 2012 rom-com Gayby, where he played the role of Neil, the co-worker of Matthew Wilkas’s character. Neil is a comic book enthusiast, and he shares the sentiments of many Marvel fans who hated the infamous Spider-Man storyline One More Day and how it ruined many arcs up to that point.

Marvel Studios has gone back to the drawing board with the MCU, returning to a quality-over-quantity approach which we anticipate seeing come into effect starting with Deadpool & Wolverine this summer.
Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars are still on the horizon, but which comic book storylines can Kevin Feige and company adapt both before, after, and potentially in those movies?
In this feature, we're taking a look at some Marvel Universe events which are perfectly suited to the big screen. From epic team-ups to massive crossovers and storylines which put specific characters front and centre, all of these could have a positive impact on the MCU in the years ahead.
To find out which comic book events we've singled out (and when/where they could happen), tap the "Next"/"View List" button below.

With X-Men '97 in full swing on Disney+ and Deadpool & Wolverine fast approaching, will Marvel Studios soon pull back the curtain on WandaVision follow-up, Agatha?
That's the prevailing theory because the profile picture on WandaVision's social media accounts has just been updated with a splash of familiar purple. It doesn't give us much to go on, though we'd say there has to be some significance to this when Agatha Harkness remains trapped in Westview thanks to the Scarlet Witch!
We'd caution against getting too excited about an imminent reveal because it's previously been reported that Agatha is aiming for a September launch. Disney+ has also developed a frustrating habit of promising its MCU offerings surprisingly close to their respective premieres.
Despite it feeling like we've been waiting a long time for the series, things appear to be going well for a spin-off which has previously been dubbed "Agnes of Westview,...

This article contains spoilers for Invincible season 2 episode 8.
Sometimes a fandom can get, let’s say, ahead of themselves. A certain rumor will take hold with only the flimsiest evidence to back it up and before you know it, every single character on WandaVision is Mephisto (our bad on that one).
At first glance, that appeared to be the case with the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible. Shortly before Invincible season 2 premiered in late 2023 (and then again in early 2024), fans of the series and the Robert Kirkman comic upon which it is based became convinced that none other than Spider-Man would be appearing in an upcoming episode. And in said fans’ defense, the evidence was actually pretty compelling.

“Somewhere, deep within the deep vastness of outer space, an incredible figure hurtles thru the cosmos, a being whom we shall call the Silver Surfer, for want of a better name!” That typically verbose bit of narration by Stan Lee comes from Fantastic Four #48, in which it accompanied the powerful imagery of Jack Kirby in his prime.
Since that moment, the Silver Surfer has become a major part of the Marvel Universe, appearing not only in countless comics but also in many film and television adaptations. The upcoming Fantastic Four MCU movie promises to continue the tradition, and director Matt Shakman has announced that the character has been cast. However, it’s not comicdom’s original Silver Surfer, Norrin Radd, whom actor Julia Garner (Ozark) will be portraying. Rather it’s Shalla-Bal.

A new Fantastic Four reboot is currently in the works, and this one seemingly intends to right all the wrongs that the previous films from the original saga did. If anything, it seems to be especially setting a different course for the Silver Surfer than was seen in the previous installments, considering the most recent casting reports.
The Fantastic Four.
According to news from sources, Norrin Radd will seemingly have a new companion by his side when he gets introduced in the upcoming movie: Shalla-Bal, the character Julia Garner has been cast in. Judging from the turn of events, Garner’s character just might end up fixing one mistake that the old F4 film did with the Herald of Galactus’ story.

Deadpool and Spider-Man comic books have captivated the fans for generations, both characters offer a unique blend of humor, and balance in the comics as they make the arcs and stories endlessly entertaining. In the comic books, both characters would often find themselves trapped in absurd situations. The two are the most popular characters in the realm of superheroes, and The Merc with a Mouth’s chaotic personality makes the comics hilarious to read.
Deadpool and Spider-Man
While the two would often find themselves in absurd and bizarre, which makes their interaction often result in comedic gold. This is evident when in the #18 Chapter, Wade Wilson makes a hilarious reference to Akira Toriyama’s magnum opus, Dragon Ball. The reference piqued the interest of the comic book as well as the anime fans.

Marvel Comics chain-wielding, flaming skull-head biker "Ghost Rider", previously appearing in Sony's live-action movies starring Nicolas Cage, plus a guest arc on ABC's "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Someone or something is abducting children from an asylum. Step forward the new nightwatchman, a martial arts star battling demonic voices ordering him to kill. Cue mayhem
This pulpy, ultraviolent horror-sci-fi-action whatnot of a film seems to unfold in a post-apocalyptic end-time – or maybe just a very rough suburb of Los Angeles. It’s hard to tell, nor does it much matter. Whatever the context, this is a world where it’s always night, where colours are so desaturated that everything’s a kind of slushy orangey brown, everybody has unkempt hair or dreads, and the borders between the spirit world and that of the living are somewhat porous.
A young man named Voaen (played by martial arts champ Dy Sao) arrives to take a night watchman job at a crusty squat which is in fact some sort of asylum for families with sick family members. After introductions to the many and varied residents,...

Silent film director F.W. Murnau is probably best known for his work on the classic macabre film Nosferatu. Just to be clear, that may be his best film, as I almost assumed that he directed Metropolis in 1927. That was Fritz Lang. Anyway, there is another film that pops up in Murnau's filmography, Faust. [Editor's note: our own James Marsh considered the film in an excellent article, Learning From the Masters of Cinema, back in 2014. The 1926 silent film centered around an elderly alchemist named Faust, who comes in contact with the evil Mephisto, who makes him a bargain to give the alchemist his youth. Once granted his youth, he falls in love with a woman named Gretchen and the two make love. However,...

Wa wa wee wa! Reports have come in that Sacha Baron Cohen will be playing Mephisto in Disney+’s upcoming Ironheart series. While this has yet to be confirmed, sources are confident that the actor will be portraying the Marvel character on the MCU show.
The cast of the MCU’s Ironheart is starting to fill out quite nicely, with Dominique Thorne portraying Riri Williams/Ironheart, “a genius inventor who creates the most advanced suit of armor since Iron Man”, and Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins/The Hood. Years ago, Marvel writer Brian Michael Bendis said Riri Williams/Ironheart “speaks not only to the soul of the character but to the Iron Man franchise as a whole. Tony first put on the armor to save his heart. Riri puts it on for different reasons altogether but still heart-related.”
In addition to those stars, Alden Ehrenreich, Harper Anthony, Manny Montana, Shea Couleé,...

Well, you know the drill by now: Another day means another round of fresh speculation concerning the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Never mind that fans have been burned many a time before by leaping to conclusions that weren't necessarily as cut-and-dry as they might've hoped -- remember the hype surrounding Evan Peters' appearance in "WandaVision," only for all those dreams of the X-Men waltzing into the MCU to turn into Ralph Bohner? Or "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" seemingly capitulating to all those fan-casts for John Krasinski to take on the role of Reed Richards, only for the alternate universe character to find himself, ah, a bit stretched out instead?
Anyway, all of these past examples of lessons learned should probably run through every fan's mind before anyone jumps the gun and starts setting...

Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be by far the biggest McU Spidey film to date. Right now, we know that Tom Holland’s hero will be mentored by Doctor Strange, possibly because he’s about to have to deal with all manner of multiversal shenanigans. Alfred Molina is returning as Doctor Octopus from 2004’s Spider-Man 2 as well, alongside Jamie Foxx’s Electro from 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Not to mention there are persistent rumors that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are climbing back into their respective Spidey suits, too.
Exactly how this is all going to fit together remains a mystery, but famed scooper Mikey Sutton is now reporting that his sources have given him some crucial information. According to him, the core of the movie will be the hero’s relationship with Zendaya’s Mj, and specifically how much danger she’s in after it becomes...
