Howard A. Roberts was a guitar player in the
The Wrecking Crew, the unofficial group of 20 to 25 Studio Musicians who played on literally hundreds of albums from the late 1950's through the mid 1970's. Record Producers often called in "The Wrecking Crew!" to either augment or totally replace whatever Rock And Roll band's name was on the label. Why? In the recording studio, time is money, and the members of "The Wrecking Crew!" could finish an entire album's music tracks in the morning, and another's album music tracks that afternoon. Members of "The Crew!" played on albums for literally hundreds of recording artists.
