Ambika is a performer and writer who was born in Newfoundland and raised between India and the US. She left her Private Equity career in 2018 to pursue acting and comedy full-time.
In 2020, her sketch comedy videos caught the attention of Indian comedian, Cyrus Broacha, and she was asked to join the #1 Indian Political Satire TV show, The Week that Wasn't, as a Foreign Correspondent. She wrote and produced her own segments for 30 episodes that aired on CNN-India.
She has appeared on several TV shows including Alaska Daily and A Million Little Things. Additionally, as a writer, she has worked for shows such as Family Law, Children Ruin Everything and ZARQA. Ambika has also appeared in several commercials including the 2022 Super Bowl E*Trade Baby commercial.
She is a graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade (LA), the Peoples Improv Theater (NY) and the Comedy School (London). In 2019, she was a recipient of the UCB Diversity Scholarship. She also has an MBA from INSEAD, a Masters and Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Iowa and is a CPA.
Ambika has lived in eight countries and visited 75. She is a dual-citizen of the US and Canada and an Indian Overseas Citizen.
