Exclusive: Glamour Studios is partnering and producing alongside director Jessica Dimmock and her production company Tough Tina for a new feature documentary, 28 Days, based on an immersive multimedia package launching Thursday on Glamour.com. Dimmock will serve as executive producer along with Agnes Chu, Helen Estabrook and Sarah Amos for Conde Nast Entertainment.
The doc, which is already in development, will follow the experiences of new mothers and families to see the effects of paid leave — and the lack of it — in people’s lives. This documentary will refocus the conversation on paid leave around the deeply engrossing personal stories that show the real life consequences as opposed to the talking-head cable news arguments that have flooded the media landscape.
“The issues surrounding the lack of parental leave in this country are something that I care about deeply,” said Dimmock. “A lack of parental leave will continue to be an obstacle towards equity,...

Stacey Abrams has set the record straight: she was not offered a position in the Biden White House, nor has she made a decision about her next political campaign.
“I know there’s a governor’s race coming up, but I’m working on making sure we have democracy in Georgia,” she said Friday during “Women in Focus: Women, Big Tech and the Future of Hollywood,” a panel hosted by Chapman’s Dodge College and Glamour magazine.
Abrams emphasized her belief that boycotts over the Peach State’s recent voter legislation laws will hurt more than help marginalized communities. “My deep concern that is if we call for a boycott, the very people who are helping change the nature of economic opportunity and political opportunity will leave us behind,” she said. “So my message is stay and fight. Come and lift up your voices and join us.”

Whitney Port may be most recognizable as a former star of MTV’s “The Hills” and its spinoff “The City,” but she has since gone on to build a successful career far beyond the realm of reality television. It’s a journey that Port says was both propelled and impeded by the notoriety that comes with starring on one of the most successful TV franchises of all time.
“The TV show happened very organically but then it created this platform for me to start these different businesses,” Port said at TheWrap’s 2020 Power Women Summit. “The reason why I ended up even doing the spinoff, ‘The City’ [which centered on Port moving from Los Angeles to New York to take a job at Diane von Fürstenberg] is so that I could launch my clothing line.”
“I have worked really hard to try to make myself something more than just a reality TV star,” she continued. “I think that’s the hardest barrier for me to break...

Exclusive: Tennis great Billie Jean King has signed to narrate a docuseries that will tell stories of pay inequities, motherhood, LGBTQ+ rights, and intersectionality and diversity in women’s sports. Glamour and Condé Nast Entertainment, along with King and Little Monster Films, are producing a series to show the trailblazers who tried to bridge the appalling disparity of pay and standing that female athletes past and present have endured.
The jumping off point was a Glamour cover that focused on how a fed-up King and a group of top female tennis players called the Original 9 tried to bridge the pay gap between the scraps they were getting, and the big paydays limited to their male counterparts. The 27-year old King was top player in her sport where the entire women’s prize pool was $5000. King led a group that included her doubles partner Rosie Casals, Nancy Richey, Julie Heldman, Valerie Ziegenfuss,...

Norah O’Donnell said Tuesday she wouldn’t be the new “CBS Evening News” anchor if not for the network’s recent upheaval.
O’Donnell, who takes over on July 15 as the anchor of the network’s evening newscast, spoke at TheWrap’s Power Women Breakfast NYC about how CBS has changed its corporate culture since the ouster of CEO Les Moonves, “CBS This Morning” co-anchor Charlie Rose and others.
When TheWrap Editor-in-Chief Sharon Waxman asked directly if she would have gotten the gig without that upheaval, she responded, “I don’t think so.”
She added: “I would not have taken this job if Susan Zirinsky were not president,” referring to CBS News’ new leader, who replaced David Rhodes in January amid ratings woes as well as #MeToo issues.

George Clooney's Lake Como spread has played host to the best of the best. Tucked behind a row of hedges and a cluster of trees, the 18th century villa's garden is well-hidden from would-be looky-loos who board ferries hoping to catch a glimpse of Laglio, Italy's most famous artist-in-residence. As such, it's the perfect spot for the actor and his attorney bride Amal Clooney to dig into a discussion of headline news with CNN executive producer turned Glamour editor in chief Samantha Barry, debate politics with former presidential adviser David Gergen or talk shop with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. (Though in our mind that chat is laced with a few well-meaning jabs...
