Ty-Keem Jamil Sadler was born in Gastonia, North Carolina. He is the last of nine children of a loving mother, Mary, from North Carolina, and a retired marine father, Tony Joe Sadler, from North Carolina. After graduating from high school, Ty- Keem was a professional boxer (6-2), intent on being a world champion but instead found his love for acting.
He made his first big screen appearance in an heartfelt film in Columbia, South Carolina. The film was "What Matters", which is about a young man and his family facing racial tensions in an already unstable community. He played the part of a Social Activist, Brandon, a young man who strongly believed in the cause of his people. In 2018, he was nominated for SiikeTv's "Best Supporting Role" Award.
He lives in Columbia, South Carolina with his wife and son.
