- He did community theater while on active duty in the U.S. Army and became the first active-duty soldier to participate competitively in the National Theater Festival when he played the lead male role of Air Force Col. Windsor Baron at AACT Fest '99 in Memphis, Tennessee.
- He was a theater actor long before becoming a screen actor. He did his first play in 1981, a school play called "A Case for Two Detectives", at Ford Junior High in Brook Park, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.
- His first lead role on film was in the 2018 drama short "The Other Side of the Door", which won the Best Film award at the Sam Houston State University Common Readers Film Festival.
- After deciding to transition to screen acting, he was cast in the first short film for which he submitted, a paid role as a hotel desk clerk in "Man from Carolina". His scene was shot two days after his 50th birthday. Unfortunately, the film was never finished.
- He completed a combined total of more than 50 acting jobs over the two year span of 2017-2018 (his first two full years as a professional actor), including feature films, short films, TV shows and webisodes, commercials, industrials, music videos and voice-overs.
