Dune: Part Two is currently ruling the cinemas and is expected to win big at the next award season. Everyone from Timothée Chalamet to Josh Brolin to Rebecca Fergusson did extremely well in their roles and the audience just can’t seem to get over them. Undoubtedly, Dune: Part Two has not only lived up to its predecessor’s hype but has even surpassed it. However, the one thing we missed in the sequel was Oscar Isaac’s Duke Leto Atreides.
Oscar Isaac in Dune (2021)
Oscar Isaac played the role of the father of Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides in Dune. Unfortunately, the film saw him meeting his demise and thus, the actor was not a part of Dune: Part Two. Having Oscar Isaac on the set of the first film must have been a hoot, though, as the actor knows how to have fun. Remember when he brutally roasted Josh Brolin during an interview?...

Timothée Chalamet is set to be one of the major stars of fall film festival season as the lead in Denis Villeneuve’s long-awaited “Dune,” world premiering September 3 out of competition at the Venice Film Festival. The Oscar nominee touted the space epic ahead of its Venice launch in a new interview with Deadline, where he revealed it was Villeneuve’s involvement that encouraged him to buy Frank Herbert’s novel and read it for the first time. Chalamet went so far as to set up a Google alert on his phone for “Dune” so he could track the project after Villeneuve came on board.
“Not right away—Legendary had the rights and was developing it—but as soon as Denis got involved, I set up a Google alert and that’s when I got the book,” Chalamet said. “In total honesty, I think my understanding of ‘Dune’ at that...

Kyle MacLachlan and David Lynch’s legendary creative partnership spans such different offerings as the television series “Twin Peaks” and films like “Blue Velvet” and “Dune.” The latter, a 1984 film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s science-fiction novel, was an infamous critical and commercial flop. Lynch battled with Universal during the production so much that he attempted to get his name off the theatrical cut. Thirty-six years later, “Dune” is gearing up to return to the big screen in a new adaptation directed by “Arrival” and “Blade Runner 2049” filmmaker Denis Villeneuve. The film stars Timothée Chalamet as the protagonist Paul Atreides, the same role MacLachlan played in Lynch’s film.
“I’m very excited to see it,” MacLachlan recently told IMDb about Villeneuve’s new version. “There will be another one, there will be a couple of us out there, running around, there’s plenty of room I think, and...

Good news for “Dune” fans: The potential sequel for Denis Villeneuve’s 2020 science-fiction tentpole is moving forward with screenwriter Jon Spaihts. The Wrap reports that Spaihts is stepping down as showrunner of the HBO Max television series “Dune: The Sisterhood” in order to put all of his focus on developing the potential sequel to Villeneuve’s “Dune” movie. A new showrunner for the series will be named in the future. The Hollywood Reporter first broke the news of Spaihts’ “Dune” switch.
WarnerMedia confirmed in June that it was moving ahead with a straight-to-series order for the television series “Dune: The Sisterhood.” The show is set to explore the world of Frank Herbert’s landmark 1965 science-fiction novel through the eyes of the Bene Gesserit, a mysterious order of women who have extraordinary abilities. Villeneuve was announced to direct the pilot of the series following his work helming the upcoming “Dune” feature film.

After the massive critical and commercial success of Mission: Impossible – Fallout last year, Paramount has officially set release release dates for the next two installments in the long-running franchise. Fallout ended up grossing $791 million at the international box office, making it the most successful film in the franchise by a long shot, so this isn’t surprising. Although we recently learned that Christopher McQuarrie would return to write and direct both Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8, the specific release dates for each film were still unclear. Now, the franchise has accepted it’s two new missions in both 2021 and 2022.
Paramount has set Mission: Impossible 7 for July 23, 2021, which comes only a few weeks after Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones 5 is due to be released. Considering that Fallout came out around the same time as the now-inevitable sequel, this date makes sense. Similarly, Mission: Impossible 8, will hit theaters on...

Paramount Pictures has released a duo of featurettes for ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ that tease the upcoming installment. Now that the sixth entry into the franchise is only a little over two weeks from smashing it’s way into theaters, the marketing campaign has begun to rev up, revealing more about the story and characters in the film.
The first featurette takes a look at the team of the latest mission, which is comprised of series regulars in Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg, along with returning cast member Rebecca Fergusson as Isla Faust. The featurette mainly focuses on the inclusion of Henry Cavill’s mysterious CIA agent August Walker, who reluctantly joins the crew this time around. The second featurettes focuses on a “tougher” story this time around, teasing the personal nature of this story that Tom Cruise‘s Ethan Hunt this time around. Here are the duo of featurettes:

After a tantalizing tease of ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ with the film’s Super Bowl TV spot, Paramount has released the full trailer for the sequel, and it is glorious. ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout‘ sees the return of writier/director Christopher McQuarrie and Producer Tom Cruise in the follow-up to 2015’s stellar ‘Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation‘, and the new trailer does not disappoint from an action perspective.
The trailer spotlights the seemingly crazy amounts of action, the return of Rebecca Fergusson‘s Isla Faust , along with what seems to be a helicopter chase with Henry Cavill‘s mustache. The ‘Mission: Impossible‘ movies have always tried to up the ante, with each subsequent entry in the series, with ‘Ghost Protocol‘ featuring Cruise hanging off of the world’s tallest building and ‘Rogue Nation‘ seeing the star hanging off of an in-flight airplane. It’s hard to tell from the trailer itself, but it...
