Tamás Bárány also known as Tomisheep, is a creative composer and sound engineer. The classically trained pianist has worked on gold, platinum and Grammy Award winning albums, as well as on major television programs, films and documentaries throughout Canada and Europe. Tamás inherited his flare for music and performance from his parents: a feisty folk singer with an absolute pitch and a sly secret service agent. At eight he was given a used grand piano, fell in love and quickly enrolled at the Béla Bartók Music Academy in his hometown, Szolnok. He studied music performance, theory, and history - and has been learning ever since. Performing with prominent Hungarian artists of all genres, he toured Eastern Europe, worked for Yamaha Music Europe, signed with Sony Music Hungary and made hit tracks for artists at Warner Bros. Hungary. He spent two years in Australia, working with Warner Bros. artists. He moved to Montréal in 2005, lured from his native Hungary by a Canadian and the desire to explore new grounds. There he expanded his repertoire, collaborating on a number of local albums and composing music for advertising, TV and film. In 2010, Tamás released his first solo album, Rhodes Trip by Tomisheep, with local jazz and Latin musicians. Invited to perform at the Montréal International Jazz Festival, Tamás and his crew gave two incredible shows that set thousands of spectators dancing.
