This year Jacqueline MacInnes Wood earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Actress for her role as Steffy Forrester on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” It’s her fourth nomination overall but her first as a leading lady, which puts her in elite company. It makes her only the fifth woman to achieve the triple crown of nominations as a younger, supporting and lead actress. But she still hasn’t won. Is this her year?
MacInnes Wood achieved all of her nominations in the span of just seven years. She picked up a pair of Best Younger Actress bids (2012-2013), which she lost to Christel Khalil (“The Young and the Restless”) and Kristen Alderson (“General Hospital”), respectively. When she returned to the Emmy lineup in 2018 she had aged out of the younger category (the cutoff is 26), so she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress, but lost to Camryn Grimes (“Y...

“Won’t be long now. Just had my fitting. All new look for Jax,” actor Ingo Rademacher posted on Instagram on March 20, teasing his upcoming return to “General Hospital” in his role as corporate raider Jasper Jacks. So how does he look? Scroll down to find out.
Rademacher first joined the cast of “Gh” back in 1996 as Jax and was a longtime rival of mob boss Sonny Corinthos (current Daytime Emmy nominee Maurice Benard), first for the affections of Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), and then Carly Benson (Laura Wright) with whom he has a daughter, Josslyn Jacks. He was most recently in Port Charles in 2017.

After leaving “Gh,” Rademacher popped up on “The Bold and the Beautiful” to take over the role of businessman and fashion designer Thorne Forrester, a character that had been played for 20 years by Winsor Harmon.

Chloe Lanier exited “General Hospital” last fall, but she might not be done with the soap just yet, at least not at the Daytime Emmys. She won Best Younger Actress last year for her role as the scheming Nelle Benson, and she’s pre-nominated again for that performance. Will she win again for her conniving ways? “Gh” is the most awarded soap in this category’s history with nine victories, and Lanier would be the third from the show to win back-to-back.
Sarah Brown was the first consecutive winner for “Gh,” prevailing in 1997 and 1998 for playing Carly Benson, who turned out to be Nelle’s adoptive sister. Brown won a third Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 when she aged out of the younger category (the cutoff is 26), and she left “Gh” shortly thereafter. The role of Carly was then played by Tamara Braun (2001-2005) and Jennifer Bransford (2005). Then Laura Wright...
