Diane Richardson was born in Orange, California. Her Father was originally from Milwaukee, WI, but relocated as Marine in San Diego, CA. Her family moved back to WI when she was four years old and she was raised in Appleton where she resides. As a child, she played the piano and sang which brought school and public performances.
She attended Xavier High School in Appleton, WI, where she unexpectedly had her first theatrical experience as the lead, the heroine, Nellie Quackenbush in the musical "No, No, A Million Times No". She fully embodied the character with great accolades despite her stage fright. The following year she had a supporting role in the musical "Yankee Doodle". She continued to play the piano through High School and performed in public. She excelled in competitions. She was also in Modern Dance and Chorus.
After High School Diane attended UW-Oshkosh for 4 years majoring in Special Education. She graduated in 1981 with a B.S. Science in Special Education. She taught students with Learning and Cognitive Disabilities for 23 years. Her leadership roles included Cheerleading Coach, Student Council Advisor, Alcohol/Drug Abuse Counselor, and Grant Writer. She continued Graduate school in Special Education receiving 72 credits.
In the early 2000's, Diane faced the challenge of health issues which she battled for 10 years. Despite her illnesses, she continued to gain faith and work as an antique dealer as well as in retail. After surgery, her life took a dramatic turn for the better. Within 5 years she auditioned for AMTC(Actors, Models, and Talent for Christ). She trained in Chicago and graduated in 2014 and she began acting professionally. Diane's new career included acting in unpaid student and Indie films, TV Series, and continued into paid work in local/national commercials and feature films. She has progressed recently receiving bit as well as supporting roles in feature films such as "Honest To God", "Heavens To Betsy 2", "The Author, the Star, and the Keeper", and "Through Eyes of Grace" in WI as well as traveling to 5 other states. She continued her training with Inspiring Actors and Baron Brown Studios CA. Her goal is to shine her light in dark places to make a difference in lives.
In her spare time, Diane enjoys, gardening, walking, weight training, cardio exercise, ballroom dancing, reading, and antique dealing. She is determined, goal-driven, enthusiastic, fun-loving, and dedicated. Her faith breaks through any barriers.
