Alberto Amar is a Spanish musician and composer born in Valencia and characterized by his contemporary and experimental style.
His music is an eclectic mix of different inspirations, often conceptual by nature, yet it still maintains an open interpretation of the specific meaning of his songs. He has also worked on different video art projects for himself and other artists.
Alberto is influenced by ambient, rock, jazz, and a wide variety of music from different styles and cultures, and also by filmmakers and storytellers with a unique point of view.
To date, Alberto has released three full-length studio albums and one EP: his band's eponymous debut "Elíal" (2012), "Dentro" (2014), his first solo album "Arte por error" (2015) and "The Day" (released on 1 April, 2020).
In the meantime, he has also collaborated as a guitarist with artists like Mireia Vilar, and Suso Saiz, producer of several of his works.
In 2019 Alberto Amar and band traveled all the way to France to record his album The Day, in a sort of musical retreat, that served to capture the inspiration of the moment and the place. Alberto moved to Amsterdam in 2020 to start working on the launch and tour of this new album, and to be able to experiment with new inspirations and perspectives.
