Lori Loughlin was a prominent cast member of When Calls The Heart (Wcth) from Season 1 to Season 6 playing Abigail Stanton. Of course, the Hallmark Channel released Lori in March 2019 after she was arrested for her role in getting her daughters Isabella Rose and Olivia Jade falsely admitted into the University of Southern California.
In August 2020, Lori was sentenced to two months in prison, two years of supervised release, 100 hours of community service, and a fine of $150,000. It’s been five years since the scandal broke, and while what Loughlin did was terrible, she has since acknowledged her mistake, taken accountability, and paid the consequences, which begs the question – will Lori and Abigail return to Wcth, anytime soon?

When Calls the Heart, at the end of Season 10, seemed to be setting up a reunion between Henry Gowen (Martin Cummins) and Abigail Stanton. But is that coming in Season 11 (premiering April 7)? While Erin Krakow, who plays Elizabeth and also serves as an executive producer on the long-running Hallmark Channel drama, would love to see Abigail again, “obviously, it’s tricky,” she tells TV Insider. “I will say, because I don’t want to get people’s hopes up too high, Abigail does not currently return in Season 11, and I hope that doesn’t feel like a bait and switch for anyone when they see Gowen go to her door at the end of Season 10. When Wcth Season 10 ended, co-creator Brian Bird promised that there would be a Hope Valley wedding in Season 11. This was after Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) put the kibash on her wedding to Lucas (Chris McNally). A lot of Hearties were disappointed that there was no wedding after she dumped her fiancé.
But, now, the premiere of When Calls The Heart Season 11 is coming soon. That means the aforementioned wedding will be happening sometime this spring. But, who are the lucky couple? Could it be Elizabeth and Nathan (Kevin McGarry)? All of the promo seems to indicate a romance between the Mountie and the teacher. But, that does not seem to be in the cards just yet.
Already, it seems that Hallmark has revealed who that couple could be. While there is no confirmation, there was a major hint offered. Can you guess who may be getting married this season?

Could there be a When Calls the Heart without Elizabeth Thornton? The widowed schoolteacher is the heart and soul of the Hallmark Channel series. It’s difficult to imagine the show – or the town of Hope Valley – without her. But if Erin Krakow, who has played Elizabeth since When Calls the Heart premiered in 2014, ever decided to move on, the series would survive, according to one insider.
Hope Valley is the biggest star of ‘When Calls the Heart,’ executive producer says
When Call the Heart is heading into its 11th season. When a show has been on the air for a decade, some cast changes are inevitable. Fans of the period drama have already endured the season 5 departure of Daniel Lissing, who played Elizabeth’s love interest (and later husband) Jack Thornton. Then, in season 6, Lori Loughlin, who played Elizabeth’s close friend Abigail Stanton, was abruptly written off the show.

What a difference a few years makes.
At one point, it seemed like Lori Loughlin wouldn't ever be on a Hallmark project again after the cabler cut ties with the actress amid the college admissions scandal.
At the time, she was edited out of episodes of When Calls the Heart that were about to air and lost her role in the Garage Sale Mysteries movies, including completed but unaired mysteries.
As you'll recall, Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli both pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges for securing admission to the University of Southern California for their two daughters.
The Full House alum served two months in jail and was ordered to pay a $150,000 fine and complete 150 hours of community service.
Mossimo served five months, paid a $250,000 fine, and was ordered to complete 250 hours of community service.

John Stamos is speaking about the moment he learned about the infamous college admissions scandal.
In his memoir, If You Would Have Told Me, the actor speaks about the moment he heard of the scandal and how Lori Loughlin, his Full House costar, was involved.
"Lori Loughlin continues to be a cherished friend to this day," John wrote, adding:
"We've weathered storms together and stood by each other's sides despite life's hurdles. We've seen each other at our worst."
Stamos recalled reaching out to Loughlin as the scandal broke, with the Aunt Becky star saying her phone may have been bugged.
"No matter how hard she was hit, how desperate everyone was to cancel her and throw her in with the pile of brutal criminals," John added.
"She stood fast, protecting her daughters from the mud hurled at them day after day after day."
Stamos added his thanks for having such a lifelong friendship.

Exclusive: Great American Family has no intention of letting go of Lori Loughlin; the channel just booked the former Full House star in a new Christmas movie for later this year.
The announcement follows the January 28 premiere of Fall Into Winter, Loughlin’s first romantic comedy role since serving time behind bars in 2020 for the college admissions scandal. She last appeared on Gaf in When Hope Calls Christmas, which premiered on the network in December of 2021.
Fall Into Winter follows Kerry (Loughlin), who is suddenly forced to work alongside former nemesis, Brooks (James Tupper), an old friend of her brother’s who unexpectedly buys out half of Kerry’s family-owned confectionery business.
Loughlin’s reprisal of her Abigail Stanton role in When Hope Calls Christmas marked her return to acting, a year and a half after she was let go from Hallmark Channel’s When Calls The Heart over her involvement in the scandal.

Lori Loughlin is set for her first romantic comedy for Great American Family, as the When Hope Calls alum will star in Fall Into Winter, premiering in January 2023. It’s the actress’ first major role since playing the part of Abigail Stanton in When Hope Calls Christmas last year, which marked her first acting role since the 2019 college admissions scandal. In August 2020, Loughlin was fined and sentenced to two months in prison after she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pled guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud. “Lori is a genre-defining star that I have had the honor to call a close friend and collaborator for more than 15 years,” said Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media. “We have a shared vision for creating meaningful and memorable movies that resonate with our passionate fans, and I look forward to welcoming her back to Great American Family to anchor our 2023 winter programming slate.

Great American Family is already the home for “Full House” and “Fuller House,” so it only makes sense that the cast is also migrating over. Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber are both set for Christmas films this year, and CEO Bill Abbott is hopeful that Lori Loughlin will join the network.
“We talk three times a week. We have two scripts that she really likes, one of which we’ll greenlight for this year or next year. Lori’s a good friend and somebody who we would love nothing more than to do a movie with, and we’re hopeful,” Abbott tells Variety.

When Hope Calls, the When Calls the Heart spinoff, rings in its second season with an emotional two-parter featuring two notable guests: original Heart stars Lori Loughlin and Daniel Lissing. As the residents of Brookfield are busy trying to earn the title of America’s No. 1 Country Christmas Town from a national magazine in 1917, Loughlin’s Abigail Stanton arrives on a stagecoach escorting a boy to the orphanage. Creator Alfonso Moreno won’t spoil how Loughlin comes to share a scene with Lissing—aka late Mountie Jack Thornton—but, he says, “If the audience is like me, they will need to keep tissues close.” Find out more from Lissing in his chat with TV Insider. When I heard this was happening, my first question was like, “Well, how was that going to work?” What was your first question? Daniel Lissing: I asked, “How is this going to work?” [laughs] I mean,...

Having an anxiety disorder means I spend way too much time catastrophizing mundane situations like dinner with friends or a case of the sniffles (WebMD is not my friend), but even my fear-focused mind couldn't conjure up a situation like the coronavirus pandemic. But there's one thing that's helped sooth my anxious soul: the Hallmark series When Calls the Heart.
