- Oscar Ernesto studied Cinematography in The University of Arts of Cuba. He started his career making documentaries for Red Bull Media House as director, scriptwriter and cinematographer. The majority of his work is scripted films, music videos, commercials and documentaries. His main field of expertise is cinematography, in which he aims to use light and contrast to communicate stories. In 2008, he founded a film production company in Havana ,"EL CENTRAL producciones Cuba", which was a second University for him. He was the first cuban filmmaker to receive Steadycam training in Cuba and later gave workshops in the "International Film School of San Antonio de los Baños". In 2015, he moved to U.S.A., where he opened "EL CENTRAL productions. Since then, he's worked in various films, music videos, advertising and documentaries. In 2020 he wrote, directed and made the cinematography of his first feature "The Last Rafter" Official Selection and opening night of LALIFF, Miami International Film Festival, New York Latino International Film Festival and acquired by HBO Max in 2021. He finished his second feature film "Borrowed" in co-production with Jim Kierstead and William Fernandez (Tony, Emmy and Pullitzer winners) based on Jim's stage play called Borrowed.
