Even though the series just closed the door on its powerful season earlier this summer, From is still garnering a lot of conversation.
From Season 2 was a massive hit for MGM+, with the fandom expanding exponentially during its second effort. The FROMily showed up week in and week out to chat about the series and helped the horror show grow into a mainstream success.
But with the season having come and gone, now we're left with the questions. When will the series return? Who will be returning? And just what happens after That finale?
Lucky for us, we know that From has been renewed for season 3, as MGM+ gave the thumbs up to a new season shortly after the finale.

“Answers keep coming,” declares actor Harold Perrineau about “From” in our recent webchat. He continues, “What keeps being really interesting is how people keep adapting. A new things happens and the entire group keeps adapting. That’s what I enjoy the most, the adaptivity of everybody.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

As the critically acclaimed TV show, From, unfolds, it has become more apparent that Harold Perrineau’s character is central to the story. In From Season 2, human-like night monsters continue to hunt the unwilling residents of the hellish town. While they grapple to maintain a sense of normalcy, the possibility of unraveling and escaping the mysterious town that has trapped them all seems to hang on Perrineau’s Boyd Stevens. Playing the self-appointed sheriff in From evokes nostalgia for Harold Perrineau’s days as Michael Dawson in ABC’s Lost. Although the Boyd Stevens role has provoked new interest in Harold Perrineau, the...

‘From’: Harold Perrineau Promises Even More Scares in Horror Mystery You Need to be Watching (Video)
The freaks definitely come out at night! From, the eerie and crazy-addictive horror-drama from the producers of Lost, is back and it turns out, the daytime isn’t too safe either! Set in a nameless town where the residents have been trapped by a malevolent force, local sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) must keep the peace — and his people safe — from feral nocturnal monsters. When we last saw these folks, a massive storm was heading to town where the locals were trying to activate a makeshift radio, and Boyd was somehow transported into the Faraway Tree while wandering the woods looking for an escape with the haunted, often-homicidal Sara (Avery Konrad). “And that is where Season 2 picks up,” the actor told us during a recent sit-down. “All hell breaks loose.” MGM+ He’s not kidding. The just-launched second chapter opened with the fallout from the violent weather pattern which came...

It is said that places change people. Just like the place someone belongs to shapes up their worldview and psyche, similarly, the ability to adapt to a place that subscribes to unfavorable characteristics, or lack thereof, can affect people differently. Epix’s mystery horror series “From” examines that as the setting of the narrative itself plays the role of a character that oppresses its inhabitants to their breaking point—to such an extent that, bereft of hope, the prospect of escaping seems as fantastical to some as the fear of change, even from a nightmarish existence, grasps others. The series definitely takes elements from the popular supernatural survival series of yesteryear, “Lost” and probably as a nod to that, Harold Perinneau, who played the role of Michael Dawson in “Lost,” also plays the lead role of Sheriff Boyd Stevens in “From.” As the second season of the series is about...

MGM+ celebrates “Halfway to Halloween” this weekend with the premiere of “From” Season 2 on April 23.
The propulsive mystery box horror series hits the ground running this season, picking up immediately where season one ended to plunge the characters into new unsettling horrors (our review).
That’s terrible news for Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau), the sheriff of the isolated township that traps all who enter. Season one saw the pragmatic leader attempt to expedite finding a way out of the town with help from an unlikely source due to the early-onset symptoms of Parkinson’s. The season ended with Boyd getting lured into one monstrous spider web, attacked, then shoved into a tree that trapped him in a deep well with no apparent way out.

A couple months ago, we heard that season 2 of the series From would begin airing on MGM+ (formerly known as Epix) on April 23rd. Now a trailer for the new season has arrived online, and you can check it out in the embed above.
I haven’t watched the first season of From – our own Alex Maidy has, and said “From definitely is worthy of a multi-season run” (you can read his 7/10 review Here) – so I was surprised to see just how creepy the trailer for season 2 is. A quote in the trailer even confirms the show has creeped out the great Stephen King… so I’m definitely going to have to start watching this series.

MGM+ president Michael Wright says transparency plays a key role in keeping storytellers and network execs on the same page when it comes to the fate and future of shows.
“I’ve been doing this long enough to know to have had that situation before, and in almost every instance we’ve been able to end long-term shows in a satisfactory way,” Wright said at Tuesday’s Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena during a panel discussion for streamer’s sci-fi series “From.” Wright introduced a slate of MGM+ shows, including “Murf the Surf” and “A Spy Among Friends.”
Wright’s words came after he was asked about the role TV executives play in a series longevity, as the industry is seeing an influx of shows being canceled before and after production or newly renewed series suddenly getting pulled.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers in the season finale of “From,” which premiered April 24 on Epix.
Harold Perrineau doesn’t necessarily consider himself a fan of the horror genre. “First of all, horror is scary!” the actor says with a laugh. “The other thing is, they often have images of bad people doing bad things to other bad people, and I feel like I have enough bad things in my brain that I don’t always want to go there.”
And yet the actor finds himself at the center of “From,” the terrifying Epix series that was renewed for a second season Sunday morning, ahead of its Season 1 finale. Perrineau says he is “overjoyed,” adding, “I am looking forward to heading back to work with our fantastic cast and crew, and would like to thank Michael Wright, Epix and our passionate fans for their support.”

From is here, people. And it's time to get on board.
A sci-fi thriller from the producers of Lost with an insanely deep cast and a very compelling hook. What happens when you enter a town you just can't leave, and the monsters there come out at night?
We were lucky enough to chat with the stars of the series Harold Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Eion Bailey about how their characters fit into this world and what they're hoping the audience connect with in their new show.
My first question for all three of you and starting with Catalina, if you could just describe for us a little bit about the characters you play on From?
Catalina Sandino Moreno: Yes, I play Tabitha Matthews. She is in this event with her family, and she is basically trading one nightmare from another. Before she gets stuck in the town, she's leaving hell.

Television is cyclical. When one successful show ends we immediately question what’s the next show, if any, that could replace it. ABC’s puzzling mystery “Lost” ended 12 years ago and creatives are still trying to find ways to recapture the dizzying, mounting, and (sometimes) frustrating tension that series cultivated. The latest attempt is the new Epix series “From,” which boasts so many connections to “Lost” (and alumnae) that the viewer may wonder if the desire is for this to stand alone on its own merits.
We meet the residents of a run-down town as they’re preparing to call it a day. Not because their work has been done, but as town cryer/sheriff Boyd Stevens (Harold Perrineau) warns them: They have to be inside before the sun sets. It’s discovered that the town is preyed on nightly by mysterious creatures who look like real people, yet aren’t.
