Actress Emily VanCamp has been in the entertainment industry since she was a young girl and fell in love with the craft by accident. She loved dancing — especially ballet — but visiting her sister on a movie set opened the door to her acting career. Needless to say, it would change her life forever. From brief appearances in short-lived series like Demontown to leading roles in acclaimed dramas like Revenge and The Resident, VanCamp has proven that she can portray any character. While most fans know her as Sharon Carter from the MCU, she is not only an impressive...

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" introduces quite a few new characters into the MCU, but there's one character who MCU fans had already briefly met whose appearance in the movie was a total surprise. In the sequel, Julia Louis-Dreyfus appears once again as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, head of the CIA. She actually has a pretty big role in the movie, and viewers learn one major part of her backstory: she used to be married to Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman). Through the course of the film, she tries to stop Ross from helping the Wakandans and ultimately arrests him for betraying the United States.
The movie marks Louis-Dreyfus's third appearance as the character in the MCU, and she will be back in a huge way in the upcoming "Thunderbolts" movie. Ahead, we're breaking down this character's role in the MCU and in Marvel comics.

Marvel has just concluded their 8th show on Disney+, rounding out the Phase 4 experiment in a definitive way. While fans await the next stage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s plans for the streaming service, it’s a great time to reflect on the tropes and trends that are beginning to emerge as Kevin Feige’s studio grapples with a slightly different medium.
The need for a big bad has driven every series in the superhero genre. It’s rare to see a show from Marvel or indeed DC that doesn’t settle on a major antagonist to steer the narrative, rather than consistently sticking to a villain of the week formula with shorter arcs. However, while Marvel Studios has maintained that formula for their Disney+ shows, it’s also become commonplace to see the foe actually revealed in the conclusive episodes. It seems that...

The Marvel Studios Disney+ shows have led to more discourse than the movies perhaps ever did. With so many more easter eggs to break down, characters to unravel and settings to explore, it’s no surprise that fans have a diverse range of opinions on what’s happened and what’s coming next. But there’s one figure who seems to have connected almost all of the streaming service’s projects in one way or another; whether as a serious discussion or as a parody playing on a long-running obsession, and that’s Mephisto, a character who’s comic book roots are baked into the fabric of the Marvel Universe, and who has surprisingly never actually been introduced into the MCU itself.
Who the Devil Is Mephisto?
Mephisto is a demonic entity that was introduced in 1968 as part of Issue 3 of The Silver Surfer run.

The cast of ‘Captain America: New World Order’ has been revealed at Marvel’s D23 Expo presentation. Anthony Mackie, who has played superhero Sam Wilson, aka the Falcon, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” is leading the film as the new Captain America for the first time.
The cast of the fourth ‘Captain America’ movie will also include Shira Haas as Sabra, Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader, as well as Danny Ramirez and Carl Lumbly, who appeared in ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ series, as Joaquin Torres and Isaiah Bradley, respectively, reports Variety.
Nelson’s The Leader was last seen in the 2008 film “The Incredible Hulk” as Samuel Sterns, beginning his transformation into the iconic Hulk villain.
As the “New World Order” team took the stage, director Julius Onah called the film a “paranoid thriller.”
Mackie raved about the project, saying: “I’m nervous!

This article contains She-Hulk spoilers
The last moments of the third episode of She-Hulk introduced an interesting plot development, and I’m not talking about the twerking post-credits scene. As Jen Walters was walking alone at night, she was accosted by four men who turned out to be the MCU version of the Wrecking Crew. She proceeded to easily handle them and sent them running. Thunderball was disappointed to find out that he was unable to break her green skin with a syringe and could not steal her gamma blood.
The group drove off and mentioned something about having a boss, adding some extra intrigue to their sudden appearance. These guys were armed with magical weapons and sent to bust She-Hulk open for someone’s big plans. The question is…who? If these guys are coming off as pre-mutation Bebop and Rocksteady, who is the Shredder, pulling the strings?
Here are some possibilities.

Where is the Marvel Cinematic Universe heading? That’s a question on the minds of many fans, and the answer may be unveiled sooner than you think. It was recently announced that Kevin Feige would finally reveal more about Phase 5 of the MCU in the near future; in the upcoming months in fact!
But according to the Marvel Studios boss, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise for those who have been paying attention. He told Total Film in an exclusive interview, “I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going.” So, what’s already been hinted at in previous projects, and where do we think Phase 5 might be going based on that info?

Spoiler Alert: This story discusses the endings of several titles released by Marvel Studios in 2021 and 2022, from “WandaVision” through “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
At the very end of 2021’s “WandaVision” — the inauguration of Marvel Studios’ post-“Avengers: Endgame” slate of titles, collectively known as Phase Four — we see Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) quietly sipping tea by a lakeside cabin, recovering from the traumatic events of the series finale. As the camera pushes deeper into the cabin, however, we see that Wanda is actually astral projecting as the Scarlet Witch so she can study the Darkhold, a book of corrupting dark magic. Suddenly, she hears the voices of her two lost sons, and the screen cuts to black. At the time the episode streamed in March 2021, we were left to wonder how that could happen and what Wanda would do next.

For years there has been endless brouhaha over the apparent sexlessness of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a series filled with gorgeous and ripped super people, many wondered why none of them seemed to have an ounce of horniness among them.
Despite some early implied escapades by Tony Stark, he eventually settled down with Pepper and Marvel barely showed them kissing. This week on Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Sam and Bucky reunited in the wake of a new Captain America being unveiled. Is their biggest adversary now themselves, the Flag-Smashers, or Cap himself?
To start, we got to know a bit about the new Captain America, John Walker, during his sitdown with GMA‘s Sara Haines on the football field of his high school alma mater. He’s a husband (to Olivia), a decorated war hero (who only weeks ago was prepping a special ops team for a mission in Chile), and a rather elite, non-enhanced physical specimen.

The curious thing about the Marvel limited series coming to Disney Plus is that we don’t know if they’re going to work like regular TV shows and last for several seasons or if they’re a one-off special event. The studio has a lot of characters they want to build series for, after all. But whatever they’ve got planned, it at least now looks like we’ll definitely be seeing more of Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan’s characters in the McU after The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

It’s possible the legacy of the Sentinel of Liberty will be complicated further over on a completely separate Disney Plus series, too. Namely, WandaVision.

As pointed out by Twitter user @MsLizzieHill, signs for a company called Samson Development have been spotted in various Falcon photos over the past few months. The name will be familiar to Marvel fans as it puts us in mind of Doc Samson, Bruce Banner’s frequent ally from the comics. Leonard Samson was previously adapted, sans his superpowers, in The Incredible Hulk, but is he on his way back?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is the first of the fully-integrated television projects connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe set to premiere on the Disney+ streaming service, continuing the story of Air Force pararescue airman Sam Wilson and World War II Army officer turned Hydra assassin James Buchanan Barnes in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, which concluded with an elderly Steve Rogers turning over the shield and mantle of Captain America to Wilson.
The series is set to showcase the return of Emily VanCamp’s S.H.I.E.L.D.-turned-cia agent Sharon Carter and Daniel Brühl’s Sokovian Armed Forces colonel Helmut Zemo, both last seen in action in the Russo Brothers’ 2016 threequel Captain America: Civil War, and will also introduce Wyatt Russell as the government’s official successor to Steve Rogers as Captain America, John Walker, a military operative alternately known as Super-Patriot and U.S.

Lumbly recently had a recurring role as the father of J’onn J’onzz, aka the Martian Manhunter, on The CW series Supergirl. (It was a live-action role that called back to his earlier voice work portraying the Martian Manhunter himself on the well-regarded Justice League animated series)
Lumbly recent television credits also include This Is Us, God Friended Me, The Chi, NCIS: Los Angeles, Altered Carbon and Six but he is best known for portraying two field operatives named Marcus: Det. The stars of the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gave fans a thoughtful Valentine’s Day gift from the set of the Marvel production. Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan surprised their followers with a humorous video offering up some helpful tips for Cupid’s Birthday. The two best friends of Captain America had hilarious chemistry throughout their time together in the McU, and it seems to have carried over from the big screen to the small.
Mackie starts things off by saying, “give a gift instead of receiving one,” which is kind of weird considering Steve Rogers gave Sam Wilson the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame. He’s probably referring to a box of chocolates or something.
Stan then chimes in with “be yourself always and forever,” which again comes off as strange considering that Bucky Barnes has had a heck of a time...

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will feature the return of both Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, but so far we’ve mostly heard about what Sam will be up to in the show. After all, Falcon is the one to have been given Captain America’s shield in Avengers: Endgame and we know he’ll have to fight for his place as Steve Rogers’ successor in the face of the government choosing their own in U.S. Agent (Wyatt Russell).
So, what will Bucky’s arc in the Disney Plus miniseries be? Well, this apparently unassuming new image may hint at where we can expect the character to go. Stan recently shared the following pic on his Instagram story and it appears to show a grimy window with graffiti scrawled all over it. The piece at the top reads “White Wolf,” which will...

We have some good news for fans of The Mandalorian.
The second season of the series is coming sooner than expected. Disney CEO Bob Iger has announced that The Mandalorian Season 2 will begin airing in October.
The first season debuted in November 2019, so this means we are getting the sophomore run less than a year after.
Given the high-production values, many believed that there would be a Game of Thrones-like wait on the horizon.
But The Mandalorian Season 2 was already well into production before The Mandalorian Season 1 even launched.
The series was a critical success, with many lauding the ballsy attempt to expand the Star Wars mythology. The world immediately fell in love with Baby Yoda, who went on to become a cultural phenomenon.
Given that Disney+ only debuted in November, The Mandalorian was the flagship series, and everyone was talking about the Pedro Pascal-led drama.

The premiere months have been set for Disney+’s upcoming Marvel series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” and “WandaVision,” as well as the second season of “The Mandalorian.”
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” will launch in August of this year and “WandaVision” will follow in December, Disney CEO Bob Iger said during the company’s earnings call Tuesday. The next chapter of “The Mandalorian” will debut this October.
Earlier Tuesday, Disney disclosed in its first-quarter earnings that Disney+ had topped 26.5 million subscribers in the first two months after its Nov. 12 launch. However, Iger said during the earnings call that the 26.5 million reflects the sub count through the end of the quarter. As of Feb. 2, Disney+ has 28.6 million subscribers, according to the Disney chief.

During yesterday’s Super Bowl, we got our first look at Marvel’s initial round of TV shows coming to Disney Plus, which has given fans much to chew on. For instance, the footage from Loki may reveal a classic Marvel organization, while our glimpse at WandaVision unveils Wanda Maximoff in her traditional comic book look at last. Let’s stick with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for a minute, though, and inspect the bombshell that the promo may reveal about that series.

Much of our attention in this scene is being drawn to Sam’s outfit, an updated one that reflects his new status as the next Captain America. Ever since Avengers: Endgame, the McU has been taking it easy. Sure, we got Spider-Man: Far From Home, but that ultimately ended up feeling like an Endgame epilogue dealing with the aftermath of Thanos’ Snap and Tony Stark’s death. Even the upcoming Black Widow is set after Captain America: Civil War, so it shouldn’t contain any huge revelations for the universe.
But soon things will kick into high gear. Not only will new IPs like The Eternals, Blade and Shang-Chi introduce a ton of fresh heroes to the McU, but the upcoming Disney Plus shows will establish a new status quo for existing ones. And we got our first proper taste of what that’s going to look like during the Super Bowl, with a Disney Plus trailer that teased WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and (very briefly) Loki.

First up on the calendar is “Falcon and Winter Soldier,” which is currently listed for fall of 2020. “WandaVision” will come after that, also this year, with “Loki” following in 2021.
“The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who reprise their big-screen roles as Sam Wilson aka Falcon and Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, respectively. During Sunday night’s Super Bowl game broadcast on Fox, Marvel followed up its new “Black Widow” trailer with another spot highlighting upcoming titles: the first footage from “WandaVision,” “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” and “Loki.” All three Marvel Cinematic Universe properties are headed for Disney+, the new home for Marvel and Walt Disney Studios’ episodic content. The spot was also shared online. Watch below.
“WandaVision” is a new original series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, both reprising their Marvel Cinematic Universe roles as Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch, and Vision. Here’s the official synopsis: “Marvel Studios’ ‘WandaVision’ blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) — two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives — begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.” The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.

It’s not quite official yet, but all the signs are pointing to the Thunderbolts coming to the McU. There’s been a ton of evidence to suggest that the team of supervillains press-ganged into doing good by General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross will be set-up in both Black Widow and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and it’s then believed the gang will star in their own Disney Plus series.
This lines up with We Got This Covered’s own intel as well, with our sources – who told us that Taskmaster would be the villain in Black Widow back in March – also giving us one extra name that isn’t being reported yet as linked to the project but who will almost certainly show up. So far, several characters are being brought up in regards to news of the Thunderbolts, including Daniel Bruhl’s Zemo, Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), U.

Marvel fans will recall that an elder Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) handed Sam the Captain’s shield at the end of “Avengers: Endgame.”

The set photos have been coming thick and fast lately for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, showing off the latest costumes for the core cast of the McU’s first Disney Plus series.
In this new batch of pics, for instance, we get another look at Bucky Barnes actor Sebastian Stan’s latest outfit, complete with vibranium arm. Meanwhile, Sharon Carter of Captain America: The Winter Soldier fame – played once more by Emily VanCamp – has been spotted in civilian clothing. And then, of course, there’s Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo, flashing a cheeky grin as he sports his new supervillain outfit, but without the purple mask.
One notable absentee from these images is Sam Wilson actor Anthony Mackie, who made quite an impression last month when he was seen wearing a flashy new suit in a previous batch of set photos.
