At the close of its fourth and final season, “Succession” occupies a place eerily analogous to that of fearsome patriarch Logan Roy. After Logan’s sudden, shocking death in the third episode, his colleagues and children (who were also his colleagues) had to scramble for an answer to the question that’s haunted the entire series: What — or rather, who — now? “Succession” itself is set to leave a Logan-sized hole in the cultural landscape, with its fan base asking the same question.
The future is impossible to predict, as “Succession” so beautifully showed with its anticlimactic, out-of-nowhere take on Logan’s demise. Ahead of the May 28 series finale, however, we can look back on what made the show such an era-defining, Emmy-dominating hit. “Succession” is hardly the first to explore the inner lives of the ultrarich. But at the end of its run, it stands out as the least glamorous...

Tom Hardy has gained a reputation for portraying intense and gritty characters over the years. But in the early days of his burgeoning career, the Warrior star ventured into auditions for a role of an entirely different nature.
Believe it or not, Hardy once tried his hand at the romance genre. While Hardy tried his best to land the lead in movies like Pride & Prejudice, he was “really hurt” after losing out on a part that ultimately went to Succession star Matthew Macfadyen.

Heartstopper fans, if only Heartstopper fans, will understand when I say that there is almost too much to unpack in the Season 2 photos that Netflix released on Wednesday. (Check out the whole batch here.)
A few of the shots are standard-issue: Kit Connor’s Nick Nelson looking for all the world like the golden retriever that he is, Joe Locke’s Charlie Spring gazing, obviously, at his newly minted boyfriend in the halls of Truham, Tobie Donovan’s Isaac Henderson loading up on reading material in his happy place. But other pictures… well, they are more revealing.

The new romantic comedy "Rye Lane" follows two slightly lost 20-somethings who cross paths in a gender-neutral bathroom and end up spending a long, rambling day together in South London. Vivian Oparah plays Yas, an aspiring costume designer, and David Jonsson plays Dom, who's bereft that he and his girlfriend broke up because she was cheating on him with his best friend. When Yas reveals that she, too, is coming off a breakup (though she swears she's doing amazing), the pair bond about relationships, their lives, and their favorite places and people.
The movie is a fantastic rom-com in its own right, but it also pay tribute to some of its romance forebearers. And there's no bigger moment where that happens than when the king of the British rom-com, Colin Firth, appears.

The Watchful Eye‘s (season? series?) finale on Monday revealed who was behind Alice Greybourne Ward’s death, then turned another resident of the Greybourne building into a murderer.
After Darcy delivered a damning note written by Allie about how scared she was of what her husband Matthew might do to her, Scott arrested Elena’s employer-turned-paramour. Meanwhile, Elena’s mother was putting pressure on her daughter to finish the job and split Mrs. Ivey’s money with her or she’d take Elena’s brother away for good. But Mrs. Ivey argued that she couldn’t take out $5 million...

It’s well known by now that Matthew Macfadyen is nothing like Tom Wambsgans. In Succession’s early years, comparisons focused on the juxtaposition between the refined British actor — a graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and notorious for his role as one Mr. Darcy — and the bumbling Midwesterner he portrays. But now, as the high-octane family drama launches its fourth season, Wambsgans has climbed the ranks to become billionaire Logan Roy’s double-crossing right-hand man — all much to Macfadyen’s delight. “In a word, I thought it was great,” he says of the season-three cliffhanger that saw Tom cutting his wife out of her family’s company. “It’s such a bold, calculated move for someone so seemingly spineless.”
