The serial killer thriller The Huntsman is set to begin filming in Oklahoma on May 22nd, and with that date just a few weeks away we’ve received a press release that reveals some casting information: Shawn Ashmore of Adam Green’s Frozen and the X-Men franchise is set to star in The Huntsman alongside Garret Dillahunt (Fear the Walking Dead), Elizabeth Mitchell (The Purge: Election Year), and Jessy Schram (Unstoppable). Out of Exile director Kyle Kauwika Harris takes the helm of this “gritty psychological thriller”, working from a screenplay by Steven Jon Whritner that’s based on author Judith Sanders’ novel of the same name.
The Huntsman will see Ashmore taking on the role of a repressed ICU nurse volunteering as a reader for a recovering coma patient (Dillahunt), the prime suspect in the savage murders of six young women in a small southwestern town. The suspect’s wife...

Stars: Maddison Bullock, Chris Levine, Jamie Nelson, April Beardslee, Danielle Rabinovitch, Robin Thompson | Written and Directed by Scott Eggleston
On the face of things, not the most inspiring of titles for a mystery/sci-fi/horror movie but there is sense in the title, at least after you’ve seen it. We see a couple move into a new house, despite reservations from close family. Although details seem brief, the wife is dying and they believe the house might be able to help in some way but the house has other ideas.
This is a very low-budget movie but this is only really clear because of the lack of any kind of effects (bar one small moment) or locations. This is not a bad thing though, the filmmakers – none more so than writer and director Scott Eggleston – clearly have a good idea for a script and have made it despite having no budget.

As Fran and Marcy are interviewed, they are revealed as very different than Derrick hoped for or could possibly have expected… As they get to know each other, Wives Of The Skies makes a contemporary socio-cultural statement regarding the meme of “the good girl, drawn bad”. Wives of The Skies clarifies the impact of the overarching “men’s gaze” which objectifies women as carnal sex objects men seek,...

"We've all heard the lurid tales of these stewardesses..." Panik Piktures has debuted an official trailer for an award-winning short film titled Wives of the Skies, a "romantic dramedy" set in the 60s. Actress Honey Lauren decided to make this after learning about how obsessed men are with vintage stewardess outfits from the 1960s. "I have long recognized that where there is a pattern, there is a story. Wives of the Skies, is a story. And a question... 'Sex sells, but at what cost?'" Indeed. The 20 min. short is about two stewardesses from Fine Air, Fran and Marcy, who are interviewed by a young British writer. Starring Rachel Alig and Maddison Bullock, with Sebastian Fernandez and Drew Brandon Jones. The short film also tries to address the primitive issue of "Trust vs. Mistrust", and displays the Japanese art of rope binding, Kinbaku. It's still playing on the festival circuit now,...
