Dead Teenager Seance, the horror comedy short film from Dante Vescio and Rodrigo Gasparini is making the festival rounds, playing in Brussels this week(ish). Yesterday they released the trailer for it, which you will find below. A group of dead teenagers spending their after-lives in Limbo decides to wreak vengeance upon their killer by summoning him to the world of the dead. Bronze Skull winner at Morbio and Best National Short Film winner at Phenomena, DTS is a delightfully dry slahser comedy. Though the story in the short film is self-contained it can be expanded into a feature length story, one which Dante shared with me while we were at Morbido. Indeed DTS does have that potential to be bigger than itself, something...

Together with their regular writer Rafael Baliú they made Children of the Cosmos. The short reflects on the wonders of the Universe and the cosmos, with a surprise ending. You just have to watch for yourself. The Cosmos. Mankind. The meaning of Life. Come play with us. Ozploitation legend Brian Trenchard-Smith praised the duo and their short film via his Facebook yesterday which sent the lads over the moon. Winners of this year's CineSpace competition will be announced this Fall. ...

There I was last night chatting with Dante Vescio, one half of the duo from the Brazilian horror flick The Fostering, and he tells me that they made a short, Blondie, that won the horror section of the online competition My RØDE Reel. Would the ScreenAnarchy community like to know about it? Um. Yeah! Two kids serving detention discuss the right way to summon Blondie, an old Brazilian urban legend. One of them tries. It works. Turns out the Bloody Mary type of urban legend show up in other cultures as well. Vescio says that it varies from town to town, the way to summon Blondie varies from school to school, and it happens mostly in school bathrooms. What i think we are seeing here is...
