Match #1: Red Velvet def. Billie Starkz
My Thoughts: What a cracking start to this week’s Elevation. Red Velvet and Billie Starkz put on a great competitive match that made Bille Starkz look good in defeat and was a great showcase for Red Velvet – who’s surely going to be the one to, given recent events, dethrone Jade Cargill? Loved this one.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) def. The Workhorsemen (Jd Drake and Anthony Henry)

Match #1: Skye Blue def. Zoe Dubois
My Thoughts: Nice to see Skye Blue open a show and Zoe Dubois was an interesting opponent, someone who’s style is certainly unique. This wasn’t anything remarkable and certainly not up to the standard of Blue’s more recent matches. Still, a great start to this week’s Elevation.

Match #1: The Bunny def. Blain Onyx
My Thoughts: The Bunny took control of this one for the get-go, only “letting” Blain Onyx get a few hits in so it didn’t look like she totally folded. But otherwise this was a complete and total squash.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brandon Cutler def. Man Scout

Unfortunately both women didn’t quite gel and this one felt a lot more like the kind of “developmental” match Dark and Elevation are supposed to showcase. Which, if training wrestlers and giving them “TV time”, is what the show is about, is a good thing.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Tracy Williams
My Thoughts: Nice to see Brian Cage [finally] in another match on Aew programming. Interesting that, given he’s facing Wardlow for the title this week,...

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew: Dynamite, which was broadcast live from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia. We’ve got Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz on commentary so let’s get into the review!
Match #1: Bryan Danielson def. Matt Menard The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
William Regal joined the commentary team for this match. Menard shoved at Danielson. Bryan fired back with European uppercuts. Menard took the fight to Danielson with shots to Danielson’s forehead. Danielson answered with round body kicks. Menard pushed Bryan off the top rope sending Bryan spilling to the arena floor. Matt Menard whipped Danielson into the steel barricade. Back in the ring, Bryan’s kicks battered Menard. Bryan followed up with a clothesline, taking Menard off his feet. Angelo Parker pulled Menard out of the ring. Danielson attempted a running knee but Parker pulled Matt out of the way.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. Once again we’ve got Matt Menard on commentary again this week joined by Roh’s Ian Riccaboni. So let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford def. Skye Blue and Shawn Dean
My Thoughts: This was Ok for a mixed-gender match, although everyone seemed off balance for this one – with Sabian and Ford looking worse in this match than in their recent solo outings. An odd, odd match.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Ortiz def. Serpentico
My Thoughts: Another decent singles outing for Serpentico, with Ortiz looking good too. For me Luther spoilt this one, between his behaviour ringside and interference it felt like it was detracting from what Serpentico was doing in-ring.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Final Verdict: 2.5/5
Well that was short.

Match #1: Roh World Championship Match – Chris Jericho def. Claudio Castagnoli The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Roh’s Ian Riccaboni joined the broadcast team for this match. After some reluctance, Chris Jericho finally adhered to the Code of Honor handshake. Claudio badgered Jericho with European Uppercuts. Claudio connected with a high boot which sent Jericho over the top rope and onto the arena floor. Jericho jumped off the top rope but ate a European Uppercut from Claudio for his efforts. Jericho hit Claudio in the throat with a chop. Claudio fired back with a European Uppercut. They traded shots on the ring apron. Jericho suplexed Claudio onto the arena floor.

Welcome to this week’s review of Aew Dark: Elevation, the opening salvo in the Aew wrestling week. We’ve got Matt Menard on commentary again this week but… he’s joined by Roh’s Ian Riccaboni(!) for this episode so let’s see what the show has to offer!
Match #1: Zack Clayton def. Conan Lycan
My Thoughts: A pretty decent match from Zack Clayton, who seems to be slotting into Aew nicely. Conan Lycan was a decent opponent, matching Clayton’s size and strength brilliantly. Like Julia Hart, Clayton is certainly going to improve the longer he’s with the company.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Nyla Rose def. B3cca
My Thoughts: Well this was a squash, Nyla Rose took like One hit from B3cca before demolishing her with a spear and a Beast Bomb. Marina Shafir cut a promo after the match which went...

Match #1: Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Qualifier Match – Darby Allin def. Swerve Strickland The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Darby and Swerve locked up. Darby grabbed a switch but Swerve backed him into the turnbuckles. Darby took down Swerve with a wristlock and followed up with a deep arm drag. Swerve jumped over the top rope but Darby was waiting for him with a stunner. Darby ran into the ring and rocketed back out with a tope suicida but Swerve had it scouted and connected with a knee strike! Swerve stood on the ring apron and booted Darby, who was still on the arena floor. Back in the ring,...

Welcome to this weeks review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact match that saw Eddie Edwards defeat Big Kon (formerly of the Ascension). With that out of the way let’s get right into the main show and this review!
Match #1: Masha Slamovich def. Kiah Dream The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The dominant Masha Slamovich puts both of her hands behind her back, inviting Kiah Dream to give her a free shot. Slamovich quickly gains control with the Burning Hammer. Moments later, Slamovich remains undefeated after hitting the Russian Death Device!
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: Ace Austin def. Blake Christian & Laredo Kid The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
The winner of this match will join Chris Bey, Mike Bailey and Jake Something in a four-way match at No Surrender to determine the #1 contender for the X-Division Championship, currently held by Trey Miguel!

Welcome to this weeks review of Impact Wrestling, which this week opens with a Before the Impact that saw Black Taurus defeat Raj Singh. With that out of the way let’s get right into the main show and this review!
Match #1: Digital Media Championship Match – Matt Cardona def. Jordynn Grace The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
Jordynne Grace defends her Digital Media Title against the original champion of the world wide web, Matt Cardona! Both competitors shake hands to begin the match. Grace can’t take Cardona off his feet with a shoulder tackle so she changes her game plan and trips him up instead. Grace counters a neckbreaker but Cardona avoids the follow-up Vader Bomb out of the corner. Cardona takes control with a vertical suplex as Grace crashes into the turnbuckles. Cardona shows a lack of composure in his first intergender match but quickly refocuses.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor double-sized review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we’ve got two weeks’ worth of wrestling to cover, so let’s get right to it.
December 26th 2020 Match #1: Dante Caballero and Joe Keys def. Ken Dixon and Eric Martin – Roh Dojo Challenge Tag Match The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
This is an opportunity for the next generation of Roh stars to showcase their talent. All four men have made a name for themselves in Maryland Championship Wrestling (McW), one of the leading independent promotions and an affiliate of Roh. Dixon, Caballero and Keys all participated in the 2019 Top Prospect Tournament. Martin, who has competed in a couple dark matches in Roh, will be making his debut on Roh television. Caballero and Martin squared off to begin the match, and Caballero used chain wrestling to gain the advantage.

Welcome to this week’s Ring Of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the finals of the Pure Title Tournament. Before we get started, look at this:
The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Roh commentators Ian Riccaboni, Caprice Coleman and Quinn McKay provided their analysis and predictions for the Roh Pure Title tournament final between Tracy Williams and Jonathan Gresham, which airs on this weekend’s episode of “Ring of Honor Wrestling.”
Ian Riccaboni: I’m a big enough man to admit when I am wrong, and I’ve been purely wrong about this whole Pure tournament. In hindsight, it makes a lot of sense that the two Pure Championship finalists, Tracy Williams and Jonathan Gresham, are in the position they find themselves in. The two most technically sound wrestlers in the entire tournament should have been in the best position...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor: Unauthorized – Hanukkah Comes Early: Eight Crazy Matches, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I didn’t name the f—–g thing. Oy! Arbor Day is for losers. Who needs a planet when you can have a super-model for breakfast? Match #1: Ultimo Guerrero defeated Jonathan Gresham The following is courtesy of rohwrestling.com:
Joe Hendry joined Ian Riccaboni on commentary and proceeded to sing all of his comments. Guerrero pinned Gresham after the Cmll legend hit Guerrero Especial from the top rope.
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – This was a fabulous match that had to endure Joe Hendry on commentary…singing! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Jesus f—k. Why would you have Hendry sing while Ian is doing commentary? Would you...

Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the beginning of the Top Prospect Tournament occurring on this card, as well as an emotional moment with Alex Shelley and the future of his wrestling career. Let’s get right to the first match.
Match #1: Chris Sabin beat Scorpio Sky
These guys had my favorite match of the card. Sabin and Sky had a very even, methodically paced match that blended the X style and technical wrestling into a smart bout. Sabin was back in his singles briefs here, rather than his Motor City Machine Gun gear, which proved to be a bit of fore-shadowing that we’ll discuss in the News Of The Night section of the review. Sky channeled Low Ki in some parts of the match, which is always my personal complement to him… we’ve never met though…...

Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor review, which features a ten-man main event with the two of New Japan’s biggest factions. With Ian Riccaboni and Colt “I beat Chris Amann and who he works for in a court of law” Cabana on commentary, along with special guest Dalton Castle, I’m Nathan Favel, this is Ring of Honor and it’s time to get to the action.
Match #1: Chuckie T (Chuck Taylor) vs. Kenny King
Chuck Taylor, who was billed as Chuckie T despite being referred to as the former name by the announcers, was looking to make another deep mark into Ring of Honor by fighting the former Roh TV Champion Kenny King, who has been in need of another shot in the arm over the past few months, after losing said title. The crowd took to this from the start, with both fighters getting...

Welcome to this week’s Ring of Honor television review for 5/27/18. All matches will be called by analyst Ian Riccaboni and color will be provided by Colt Cabana. Our card for this week will feature two title matches and a living legend all the way from Japan. I’m Nathan Favel and this is Ring of Honor!
Match #1: The Dawgs (Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara) vs. Cheeseburger & Jushin “Thunder” Liger – Tag Team Match
This match is the continuation of the Ferrara/Cheesebuger feud that has been going on since last year. The idea here is that Cb has beseeched Liger, his most vigorous supporter, to help him defeat Ferrara and to put an end to his bullying. Cb and Will had some nice counters for each other to start, with Cb looking more confident in his offense than usual. Cb always seems to perform his best when Liger is around.

Welcome to the second review of Ring of Honor TV! This week features a double main event in Jay Lethal wrestling Punishment Martinez and a trios match featuring the Bullet Club fighting So-Cal Uncensored. Here we go!
Match #1: Jay Lethal vs Punishment Martinez
The crowd was really primed from the opening bell for this bout. Lethal took control of the match from the first grapple, with the story being that the wily veteran was systematically grounding the raging behemoth known as Punishment Martinez. Lethal was like a maelstrom to Punishment, with each strike and every blow delivered from his body like bullets from a Gatling gun. Lethal performed a dive sequence that was like watching an obsessive-compulsive missile repeatedly striking its target, as much because of programming as instinct. From there, Martinez began to dominate Lethal with his massive arms while Lethal...
