If you think about it the true crime phenomenon itself is pretty pornographic and that’s one of the themes being explored in Netflix’s latest murder mystery with a touch of dark comedy series Bodkin. Created by Jez Scharf, the Netflix series is set in the fictional idyllic town of Bodkin and it revolves around three out-of-town people looking to make a podcast about three mysterious disappearances that happened decades back on the night of Samhain.
Bodkin is simply a great murder mystery for all the true crime enthusiasts out there as it shows us all the things that are in true crime podcasts and adds up the personalities of the people who are making them. It is Fish out of Water series as an American podcaster Gilbert is heading to Ireland to make a podcast and he is joined by a meek researcher and a brash investigative journalist Dove,...

Netflix has debuted the trailer for the dark comedic thriller ‘Bodkin’.
The show follows a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined. As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction — about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves — the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.
Created by Jez Scharf, the show stars Sobhán Cullen (Dove), Robyn Cara (Emmy), Chris Walley (Sean O’Shea), David Wilmot (Seamus), and Will Forte (Gilbert).
Guest stars include Pom Boyd (Mrs. O’Shea), Fionnula Flanagan (Mother Bernadette), Áine Ní Mhuirí (Sister McDonagh), Charlie Kemp (Damien), Pat Shortt (Darragh), Ger Kelly (Teddy), Denis Conway (Sergeant...

For as long as survival horror has existed, confounding puzzles and bewildering navigation have been staples of the experience. Granted, they did fall out of fashion for a brief period in the late-noughties — when games like Dead Space and Resident Evil 5 pivoted in a more action-oriented direction — but generally they have been mainstays of the genre ever since the very beginning.
Although it’s up for debate where those origins actually, you know, originated, the original Alone in the Dark at least belongs in the conversation. It may have arrived a little later than kitschy Fmv outings like Night Trap and some of those side-scrolling movie tie-ins — which, let’s be honest, were just bog-standard platformers anyway — but it’s where the style as we understand it today was properly codified.
Indeed, Frédérick Raynal’s trailblazer pioneered most of the ideas that we now associate with classic survival horror,...

"Charlie Work" is easily one of the most memorable episodes in the 16 seasons and counting of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." Some of the episodes are best remembered for their off-color jokes, like "The Gang Makes Lethal Weapon 6," but other times, it's the scope of the episode that garners attention, like the ambitious musical episode "The Nightman Cometh," or the unforgettable holiday special "A Very Sunny Christmas." Even so, perhaps the most impressive technical feat of all is the one-shot wonder that is "Charlie Work."
The season 10 episode follows Paddy's Pub's resident ghoul fan Charlie Kelly as he tries to pass the bar's health inspection while the other members of the gang get up to no good, wrapped up in a scheme involving steaks, airline miles, and live chickens. The episode presented lots of technical challenges at every turn, the first of which was writing an episode that unfolds in...

On "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day) is one seriously strange human being. He eats cat food and drinks beer in order to get to sleep, huffs enough paint and glue to kill a horse, and shares a single-room walk-up and a bed with a man named Frank (Danny DeVito). He also has an unhealthy obsession with a local coffee shop waitress (Mary Elizabeth Ellis), and when the gang finds out that she's getting married, they do everything in their power to find a new love interest for Charlie. That means setting him up with an online dating profile and asking for his likes and dislikes, which gets as weird as one might expect. In "The Waitress is Getting Married," Dennis (Glenn Howerton) and Mac (Rob McElhenney) discover that Charlie is really into "ghouls," and when they ask for clarification, they don't really get much.

Starring in "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as the butt of every bird joke, Kaitlin Olson has done her share of gross-out comedy. The comedian was originally hired to be the feminine voice of reason on the show, but she had a different vision for the role. Olson is an incredible physical comedian and is unafraid to put her body on the line for a bit — she was even pregnant when she performed one of her most memorable moments in season 6. But even though the actress is a total trooper, there was one icky bit in season 5 that the series creators wished they had handled with more consideration for her.
For those who don't know, the series creators of "Sunny" are also Olson's co-stars: Glenn Howerton, who plays Dee's brother, Dennis; Charlie Day, who plays Dennis' friend Charlie Kelly; and Rob McElhenney, who plays their friend Mac and is also...

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" has a lot of standout episodes, but the season 4 finale, "The Nightman Cometh," is definitely up there. It was not the show's first time dabbling with musical sequences, nor its last, but it's definitely the one people remember most. It's the one where Charlie puts his heart into writing a romantic coming-of-age story to impress his long-term stalkee The Waitress, but instead accidentally writes a musical about a kid getting molested.
Even for the actors themselves, this episode still sticks with them. "I never stopped singing, 'You gotta pay the troll toll to get into that boy's hole,'" Danny DeVito told GQ in a 2018 oral history on the episode. "After that episode, wherever I'd go, people would scream it [at me] out of windows." That line was yet another dark misunderstanding: Charlie wrote the line as "boy's soul," not hole, but the two phrases sound tragically similar,...

For many die-hard It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fans, it was disappointing to discover that Hulu (Netflix in the UK) has removed many of the episodes from their platform. No sitcom embodies the spirit of Philadelphia sports fans more than It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The raucous, ill-mannered gang bleeds for Philadelphia sports — particularly the Phillies in the MLB, and the Eagles in the NFL. They’ve concocted riot punch, climbed through sewer tunnels, and racked up parking fines when the Phillies won the World Series, and rode in questionable transportation to watch the Eagles play in the 2018 Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
All that makes sense when the cast is playing their characters from the show given how Philly-centric the series is. But a few of the stars are Philadelphia fans in real life, too. While It’s Always Sunny capitalized on the sports teams’ successes in the past, their real-life counterparts were pretty thrilled about it, too. Here’s who will be celebrating the Eagles’ return to Super Bowl 57.

The first trailer for the Nintendo and Illumination's "Super Mario Bros." movie is here, and while many fans are focused on the Chris Pratt of it all, some of us just wanted a peek at the other pixelated plumber at the center of the franchise. That's right, I'm talking about the guy in green, Luigi! It takes more than just Mario to make up the Super Mario Bros., after all, and his brother Luigi is really the heart and soul of the franchise. Not only that, but while Pratt's casting as Mario raised more than a few eyebrows, almost no one is upset that "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" star Charlie Day is voicing the taller, better-looking brother of the pair. Honestly, why didn't they just make a "Luigi's Mansion" movie? We don't have one of those yet, and we already have a "Super Mario Bros." movie!

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" may be the longest-running live-action sitcom, but the sun did not always shine bright for its cast and crew. During the first few seasons, there was an air of uncertainty surrounding the show's future. According to the faces behind the bar-owning gang, that feeling was amplified by the lack of awareness of the show's popularity. Shockingly enough, they only discovered that people were enjoying "It's Always Sunny" while on the heels of a fifth season.
Before the arrival of social media, it was nearly impossible for series creator Rob McElhenney and the rest of the cast to gauge how much the audience was invested in their unconventional sitcom. While the series continued to push the comedic limits of Paddy's Pub and its patrons, they did so under the assumption that it could all end at any moment. And, for the most part, they were content with that preconceived notion.

While the series continued to push the comedic limits of Paddy's Pub and its patrons, they did so under the assumption that it could all end at any moment. And, for the most part, they were content with that preconceived notion.

There are dream interviews, and then there are the ones where you pinch yourself afterwards because you can't believe it's real. "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is my favorite TV series of all time, and my favorite character on the show is Charlie Kelly. So when the opportunity arose to chat with Charlie Day -- the man behind everyone's favorite illiterate, cat food-eating janitor -- I jumped at the chance.

The creators of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" have drawn quite a bit of inspiration from their own lives for the hit Fxx comedy series, but perhaps it's Green Man who has become the biggest sensation to crossover. Green Man is Charlie Kelly's (Charlie Day) alter-ego, a mascot who wears a green morphsuit and sneakers. Charlie has worn the Green Man suit a few times over the course of the series after it made its debut in "The Gang Gets Invincible," when Frank (Danny DeVito) laced Charlie's beer with LSD, and he started dancing with the entire McPoyle clan. While the idea of someone...

This one might be titled "The Gang Almost Kills DeVito." The Gang at the center of the hit FX comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" -- Mac, Dennis, Charlie, Dee, and Frank -- have found themselves in all sorts of shenanigans over 15 seasons. Life imitated art during Season 11 of the show when Danny DeVito, who plays Paddy's Pub co-owner Frank Reynolds, almost drowned during a stunt. Charlie Day, who plays the oft-befuddled Charlie Kelly, revealed some surprising details about the accident that nearly killed DeVito during an interview on "Conan."
The scene in question is from the Season 11 finale, "The...

What's up, jabronis? Somehow the gang behind "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" managed to make a dream come true that I didn't even know I had: they united "Sunny" with "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," the best "Trek" of them all.
In "The Gang's Still in Ireland," we're finally introduced to Charlie Kelly's (Charlie Day) biological father, an Irish cheesemonger named Shelley Kelly. Charlie finally finding his father after 14 seasons is huge, and he's being played by Colm Meaney, who also played the Most Important Man in Starfleet himself, Miles O'Brien. O'Brien does all of the Charlie work aboard the space station Deep Space Nine, and seeing...

The gang from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" have made lots of jokes about the Irish over the years as the proud proprietors of an Irish Philly dive bar called "Paddy's Pub." Ronald "Mac" MacDonald (Rob McElhenney) and Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day) also have their fair share of Irish pride due to their heritage, so this season's promised trip to Ireland feels like it's been years in the making. Just like the past two weeks, "It's Always Sunny" dropped double episodes, so I'll be giving you two episodes paired with them to make the perfect "Sunny" shot and chaser. If you need...

The dysfunctional quartet of friends will continue to be just as irreverent as ever, for at least four more seasons. In May, Fxx renewed It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia for a 15th season. Today, it was announced that the comedy show had been renewed for seasons 16, 17, and 18 as well. This will conceivably keep it on the air into 2024

Now the longest-running TV sitcom of all time, the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia ponders the show’s longevity and future.
“Charlie Work” is one of television’s dirtiest jobs. It’s shorthand for the custodial duties inside Paddy’s Pub: urinal cleaning, basic slimes and sludges, the occasional blood stuff, and a potluck of basement activity. Charlie Kelly doesn’t begrudge the title. He loves the dark, being naked, slippery things, and the smell and taste of bleach. To the uninitiated, dispatching vile fluids would be a daily hurdle. Charlie sees it as something more; he moves filth and squalor around the bar like an artist spreads paint on an open canvas.
Actor Charlie Day is overjoyed to be the master behind this craft. Finding consistent acting work on TV is a chore all to itself, and he’s as surprised as anyone...

Watch out Dunder Mifflin — Paddy’s Pub is coming to town.
The old filming location for “The Office” has been taken over by another popular comedy that’s still on the air — “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

He also posted a video to Instagram of him and his fellow cast mates, Danny DeVito and Charlie Day, yucking it up in the famous Dunder Mifflin parking lot where many a memorable scene from “The Office” was filmed.

“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” takes place largely in Paddy’s Pub, an Irish bar located in South Philadelphia, so it shouldn’t be too surprising to hear the series’ characters consume or reference drugs and alcohol a lot. However, a new study from Alcohol.org puts the long-running Fxx series’ love of substances into perspective.
The website, backed by American Addiction Centers, watched the 12 completed seasons of “It’s Always Sunny” and logged every time a character is seen with or talking about a substance. The results should prove surprising, even for diehard “Sunny” fans.
According to the survey, every main character – Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds (Kaitlin Olson), Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day), Ronald “Mac” McDonald (Rob McElhenney), and, Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) – has consumed drugs or alcohol at least 140 times on the show across 134 episodes. Most characters have consumed way more, however, with Charlie out...
