Dan Banefelt was born in 1986 in Stockholm, Sweden, where he started designing games in the Unreal Engine at a young age.
After having studied game design and graduating at the Futuregames Academy in 2009, Dan moved to Berlin, Germany to design games at Yager Development, with major design contributions on games such as Spec Ops: The Line (2012), Dead Island 2 (2023), Dreadnought (2017), and The Cycle: Frontier.
After over a decade of hands-on design work, Dan became the Creative Director on the innovative shooter game The Cycle: Frontier.
