Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to cede its No. 1 four-weekend run to Paramount and Spyglass Media’s Scream over the MLK four-day holiday, the latter eyeing a take that’s in the $20 million-plus range at 3,661 theaters.
There’s a shot that Scream goes higher, but we’ll leave any lofty predictions in this funky pandemic, Spider-Man-dominated marketplace to what 18th century economist Adam Smith called “the invisible hand”. By previous measurements, the best opening for a pure horror movie over the MLK holiday belongs to Universal’s Andy Muschietti directed title Mama which collected $32.1M back in 2013 (I would argue that M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass with a $46.5M start in 2019 was more of a thriller).

Hillary Clinton welled up while reading the speech she would have given if she had won the 2016 presidential election in a clip from her upcoming MasterClass session. “I’ve never shared this with anybody,” she said in the clip, which premiered in a segment from Sunday Today With Willie Geist that premiered today. “I’ve never read this out loud. But it helps to encapsulate who I am, what I believe in, and what my hopes were for the kind of country that I want for my grandchildren, and that I want for the world,...

After passing legislation that would increase stimulus checks to $2,000, the House overrode President Trump’s veto of the $740 billion defense funding bill. This move by the House sends the bill to the Republican-controlled Senate where a two-thirds majority is needed to officially override Trump’s veto, which would be a first for his administration.
Trump had vetoed the National Defense Authorization Act because he said it did not repeal Section 230, which shields social media companies from liability for the content their users post, and which has little to do with defense spending.

Thank heavens Tyra Banks went to Harvard Business School. Otherwise, the groundbreaking new word “beautytainment” might not have entered the pop-culture lexicon during tonight’s America’s Next Top Model Cycle 21 finale.
Oh yes, you know Ty-Ty had to cross-promotionally synergize the bejeezus out of the two-hour installment. First, she brought back the season’s nine eliminated hopefuls, then had the four remaining finalists choose “teams” and shoot spots for various products in her new “Tyra” makeup line. (#IsThatARealThing?)
We didn’t immediately get to see the finished product, and instead jumped right ahead to a Guess? fashion shoot photographed...

Here we are. Finally. After 13 weeks of drama and fashion, controversy and strength, America's Next Top Model Cycle 21 get's decided tonight. And tonight we may see Top Model history, the very first male top model. Back to back, we've got two episodes: "Finale Part 1: The Last Girl Standing" and "Finale Part 2: America's Next Top Model Is ..."
By the end of this two hour frenzy, we will know the answer to the questions every Antm follower has been asking themselves for the last 13 weeks: Will it be a guy this time? If it is a guy, which gorgeous hunk of masculinity will it be: Keith or Will? Lenox is the only girl standing, as the title of the first half suggests, and who knows if she'll make it to the second hour of the night. Adam, well, could his drinking problem preclude him from winning this thing, or will...

Tonight's America's Next Top Model installment focuses on two of the most iconoclastic pop culture phenomenons: mega stars and soap operas. After a challenge that brings surprising results, the models head to a photo shoot to see which man best embodies the spirit of Elvis and which woman most alluringly captures the essence of screen icon Marilyn Monroe.
We're down to the final five contestants on Cycle 21 of America's Next Top Model and most of the drama darlings have been removed from the gene pool. Remaining are Lenox The Virgin, Adam the Party Animal, Keith the Black Adonis, Will the Male Barbie Doll and Shei the boochin'-toochin', sizzlin' hoochie mama.

Enough with the talking about Adam's drinking. Is America's Next Top Model grabbing at straws for any kind of drama they can eek out of this group? And here we go again about Chantelle not fitting in. I admit these are real American issues -- alcoholism and isolation -- but I prefer a focus on the modeling, the clothing, the makeovers, the real life sacrifices for the craft, and the photo shoots which turn semi-regular looking faces into gods and goddesses. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but I have reason to believe I'm not.
So, this installment is called "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire: You're Going Straight to Hell." Or, wait a minute, that's just my own title for it. The CW calls Antm's 12th episode, "The Girl Who Gets Caught in a Lie." During panel last week, Miss J. Alexander said he'd heard that Chantelle was...

Lots of promos for this week's America's Next Top Model installment, "The Guy Who Parties Too Hard" insinuate the punch line before the first minute of celluloid even hits our small screens. So, is Adam going home this week? I'm hoping not because he's come a long way this cycle.
Adam went from major party douche to hot stand-up guy. His abbreviated tresses are 60% responsible for the increased hottness. Ten percent of his increased allure can be attributed to how hard he's been working and how much he improves each week, according to Tyra. The remaining 30% is split between the mature way he handled being provoked and physically assaulted by Romeo and the fact that he's been rather low key the last several episodes.
