The phrase “15 minutes of fame” simply doesn’t apply to Spencer and Heidi Pratt, the husband-and-wife reality star duo better known as “Speidi” since they began dating during the second season of the Laguna Beach spinoff The Hills. Since those early 2000s MTV reality docuseries days, the couple, who eloped in Mexico on Nov. 20, 2008, has appeared on various reality TV shows and competitions, from Celebrity Big Brother seasons 11 and 19 to Celebrity Wife Swap, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars 2, and the short-lived spinoff The Hills: New Beginnings. There was an even shorter music career for Heidi who released her debut studio album, Superficial, in 2010.
Never ones to take themselves as seriously as their quest for fame, Heidi and Spencer recently launched a pop culture video podcast with The Ringer Podcast Network, a Spotify Studio. Appropriately titled Speidi’s 16th Minute, the podcast delves into celebrity gossip, the behind-the-scenes realities of creating...

After Matt James' conversation with his dad was aired on The Bachelor, Rachel Lindsay is asking one big question: "Who green-lit this?" On the March 8 episode of the ABC series, Matt sat down with his father, Manny James, and discussed their estranged relationship. In a new episode of the Bachelor Party podcast, Rachel spoke out against the televised moment, telling listeners she is "so disturbed" by how the conversation was shown. Rachel Lindsay is happy that Matt James will be the first black Bachelor, but she’s still waiting for the franchise to prove its commitment to diversity.
The first black Bachelorette congratulated James on Twitter following his casting on Friday, saying it’s a “step in the right direction.” But she added, “I would be remiss to not point out that based on the current climate, it feels like a knee-jerk reaction and a result of societal pressure. This announcement, without any further commitments regarding diversity, sweepingly brushes deeper issues under the rug.”
Lindsay had long called on the franchise to fix its diversity problem, but those cries have intensified in the last few weeks in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd‘s death. Last week, fans started a petition demanding, among other changes, a black lead. Both the petition and Lindsay have laid out...

Every member of Bachelor Nation worth their salt knows Neil Lane has provided dozens of engagement rings for the show - but what happens when the relationship doesn't work out? Former Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin went on The Ringer's Bachelor Party podcast this week and revealed that there's actually a place where production hides the "scorned rings." Speaking to host Juliet Litman, Kufrin mentioned a "ring graveyard."
Kufrin famously returned her engagement ring to Arie Luyendyk Jr. when he broke up with her after his proposal on The Bachelor, but there are unused rings on almost every season of The Bachelorette. After all, the star usually gets two proposals at the end of the show. Of the proposals that are accepted, not all work out. In fact, Bachelor couples staying together for the long haul is pretty rare, meaning there are a lot of unused rings out there.

She revealed that right now, her greatest fear is failure, and she's learning that it's Ok to fail sometimes. The trick is to learn from it. Do you remember that time Jared Haibon proposed to Ashley Iaconetti while filming Season 5 of Bachelor in Paradise? Ashley's Bachelor Winter Games ex Kevin Wendt sure does, because he was there too! According to the Bachelor Party podcast, hosted by ABC’s Svp of alternative programming Rob Mills, Jared proposed on the beach to Ashley I. right in front of Kevin. That’s right, he apparently watched the entire thing! Rob Mills and The Ringer’s Juliet Litman discussed what went down, and according to their recap, the proposal “threw [Kevin] for a loop.” Us too, Kevin. Us too.
