David Starkman(II)
David Starkman is a 3-D Photographer, writer of articles on the
subject, and has given workshops on 3-D software at various 3-D
conventions. Along with his partner Susan Pinsky, he has specialized in
numerous aspects of stereoscopic 3-D imaging since 1977. In the early
1980's he worked with Jim Butterfield at 3D TV Corporation, which
brought the first national 3D broadcasts to American television.
Following that he worked with Chris Condon at Stereovision
International Corp., marketing their products, and training
projectionists to use the mirror boxes required for the single-strip 3D
film projection process. He has also written numerous articles about
the history of 3-D imaging. He is a past president of the Stereo Club
of Southern California, now renamed the LA 3D Club.
