Broadway legend and “Gilmore Girls” matriarch Kelly Bishop is ready to spill all the tea (or in this case a perfectly prepared pitcher of martinis) about her time on the set of Stars Hollow.
The Tony-Award-winning actor (who found fame on stage as an original Broadway cast member in “A Chorus Line”) had a second resurgence of popularity after being cast as the iconic Emily Gilmore, mother to Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and daughter Rory (Alexis Bledel), on the TV series “Gilmore Girls.”
Titled “The Third Gilmore,” Bishop’s upcoming memoir recalls her journey from stage to screen and no doubt will cover the viral stories she’s shared on the road

He sings and he dances! But that doesn’t mean it wasn’t work. Timothée Chalamet had a three-month dance boot camp to prepare for “Wonka” — but luckily veteran choreographer Christopher Gattelli was there to guide him.
“The first lesson I had with him was actually in May of 2021. He was shooting ‘Bones and All’ at the time, and he came in with like this shocking red magenta hair and like super, super skinny Timmy and I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s not what I was expecting.'” But Gattelli pointed out that with Chalamet’s famous background at Laguardia High School, it wasn’t like starting from scratch. “And he has really great rhythm, so it wasn’t hard for him to pick it up.”
“Boot camp” sounds like Gattelli turned into the kind of strict dance instructor who terrifies his students, when in reality he’s warm and quick to laugh,...

New Delhi, Feb 10 (Ians) Chinese short video-making app TikTok has sacked its entire India staff — about 40 employees — and February 28 will be their last working day.
The ByteDance-owned platform, banned in India in June 2020 over national security concerns, told its employees they would receive up to nine months of severance package. However, most of the staff will only get three-month severance.
In a statement to Ians on Friday, a company spokesperson said that “we have taken the decision to close our India remote sales support hub, which was put in place at the end of 2020 to provide support to our global and regional sales teams”.
“We greatly appreciate these employees and their impact on our company, and will ensure they are supported at this difficult time,” the TikTok spokesperson added.
In June 2020, the government banned TikTok along with 59 other Chinese apps citing security concerns.

New Delhi, Feb 10 (Ians) Chinese short video-making app TikTok has reportedly sacked its entire India staff — about 40 employees — and February 28 will be their last working day.
According to a report in The Economic Times, the ByteDance-owned platform, banned in India in June 2020 over national security concerns, told its employees they would receive up to nine months of severance package.

In June 2020, the government banned TikTok along with 59 other Chinese apps citing security concerns.
Since then, the country has banned over 300 Chinese apps, including WeChat, Shareit, Helo, Likee, Uc News, Bigo Live, Uc Browser and many more.
The Centre last week blocked over 230 apps, including 138 betting and about 94 loan apps, which were traced to Chinese links.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) was recently instructed by the Mha to ban such apps, which operate through a third party link.

When it was reported that swinging Sixties singer/songwriter Burt Bacharach had died on Feb. 8 at the age of 94, most people thought of his iconic cameo in Austin Powers, playing “What the World Needs Now” atop a bus as Mike Myers and Elizabeth Hurley slow-danced. But Bacharach’s impact on popular culture stems far beyond his appearance in the Austin Powers franchise. Consider, for instance, this 1969 Tony Awards performance of “Turkey Lurkey Time” from Promises, Promises — Bacharach’s musical adaptation of Neil Simon’s The Apartment, coauthored with Simon and his longtime collaborator Hal David.
