André Caccia Bava is a composer, music producer, multi-instrumentalist and sound engineer. He has worked on movies and series for Netflix, HBO, Globo, Amazon, Warner, Sony, TV Cultura, among others.
In 2002, he was invited by an LA studio, with whom he had previously worked with to write and perform the original song "Batendo no Peito" for the film "One Last Dance", with Patrick Swayze, directed by Lisa Niemi. He was the musical co-producer for the TV Cultura series "Pedro e Bianca", which won the International Emmy Kids Awards, in 2012. That same year, he worked as producer and co-musical director for the movie "Pra Sempre Fenômeno", which chronicled the retirement of renowned Brazilian footballer Ronaldo.
For a period, he also worked in advertisement, winning some of the media's highest awards, such as the Golden Lion at Cannes, El Ojo, Profissionais do Ano, Wave Festival and at the CCSP Festival.
André collaborated on a series of concerts and performances as a musician and musical director, working alongside artists such as Sandy, Elza Soares, Ivete Sangalo, Lulu Santos, Guru, Lobão, Black Rio, among many others. That time working in the music scene gave him a door - and many invitations - into the world of music videos, as a producer. He has produced music videos for artists such as IZA, Gloria Groove and Francisco El Hombre.
In 2014, he was the musical director for the short film "2028, O Filme", based on the graphic novel by Marcelo Costa. In 2016, he worked as musical director for the documentary feature "Drops of Joy", which has been part of the Netflix and Prime Video catalogs.
In 2017, working with HBO, he was the musical director for the incredible international series "My Life is Circus", shot in multiple countries. This year, he will work on the second season, now for Warner.
In 2020, he directed the music for the series "Refazenda", for cable channel GNT, hosted by Bella Gil. During the pandemic, in 2021, he worked as composer and music producer for the Prime Video series "5XComédia" and the Netflix feature "Double Dad".
In 2022, he was the musical director for the Prime Video original feature, "An Unforgettable Year: Summer", released in 2023.
