It is safe to say that Ghosts is a hit for CBS. In the series, Sam gains the ability to see spirits after a near-death experience. As we dive into season three, we can’t help but wonder where Woodstone Mansion is located. We have all the details.
Where is ‘Ghosts’ set?
Sam and Jay initially resided in New York City but moved to a sprawling estate in upstate New York when Sam learned she was the only heir to the family home. The mansion is located in Ulster County in the series. Ulster County is a rural New York county about two hours...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts Season 3, Episode 1, “The Owl.”] Ghosts returned for its third season one spirit short as Flower (Sheila Carrasco) was revealed to be the one “sucked off” in the Season 2 finale. The free-loving and consistently stoned hippie ghost seemingly passed over without a word, leaving her boyfriend, Viking ghost Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long), utterly devastated, along with a lot of fans. But is this really the end of Flower’s story with the series? When it comes to the world of Ghosts it always feels like there are new things to learn about the boundaries of the spirit world and its limitations. Below are a few ways we could imagine the show would explain a possible return for Flower. (Credit: CBS) 1. She’s Locked in the Vault Remember the vault where Hetty’s husband, Elias Woodstone (Matt Walsh), died? His ghost was trapped within the walls for a reason we have...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 3 premiere of “Ghosts,” titled “The Owl,” which aired Feb. 15 on CBS.
Flower, hopefully you’re finally getting to cuddle a few bears up there in the sky. Yes, you read that right: There’s one less ghost on “Ghosts,” as the characters said farewell to Flower on the Season 3 premiere of CBS’ hit comedy.
The series finally returned on Thursday (after a long strikes-induced delay), and we learned which spirit had been finally sent to the afterlife. After a few fakeouts, the ghosts discovered that it was Flower (Sheila Carrasco) who was “sucked off” in the Season 2 finale, as witnessed by Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar).
Flower is the 1960s-era hippie who died trying to hug a bear while high on acid, and remained a bit forgetful and drugged-out while living in the purgatory that is Woodstone Mansion.

Football Sunday will be movie night for CBS’ Ghosts, and they’re watching a very on-brand film.
In the above Super Bowl commercial for the hit comedy, livings Sam and Jay gather with their ghostly “roommates” for the 1990 classic Ghost, starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. In typical Ghosts fashion, there’s plenty of color commentary from the spirits about the movie’s plot, with the ad’s dialogue written by showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, per our sister site Deadline.

We may have had to say goodbye to NCIS: Los Angeles in May 2023, with a finale that left a bit up in the air, namely what would happen on the mission to rescue Hetty. But the good news is one of the characters in that operation is now on NCIS: Hawai’i. So, might we get an update on Hetty from Sam Hanna (LL Cool J)? “It remains to be seen, right? There’s a lot of things that are going to happen. I mean, this is the cool thing about the NCISverse,” LL Cool J tells TV Insider. “The focus is Hawai’i, but Sam does have that backstory and we’ll see if it gets addressed. People just have to tune in. But there’s some fun stuff happening, for sure.” He has the “same answer” when it comes to hearing about the lives of the rest of the LA team,...

Fans of CBS’s Ghosts won’t have to wait much longer to learn the fate of their favorite Woodstone Mansion spirits. The season 3 premiere of Ghosts is set to air on Feb. 15. The show’s writers don’t plan on holding off on revealing which spirit was “sucked off” in the season 2 finale for too long. While the premiere is still a few weeks away, the released logline suggests that a main house ghost is unlikely to be the spirit to leave.
Season 2 of ‘Ghosts’ ended on a major cliffhanger
The SAG-AFTRA strike pushed back the return date of many beloved TV shows. Ghosts fans were extra bummed about the delay because their series ended on a major cliffhanger. In the season 2 finale, Sam watches a bright light take a spirit from Woodstone Mansion off to heaven. The episode ended before Sam, Jay, and the viewers learned which ghost had moved on.

Season two of CBS’s popular half-hour comedy Ghosts ended on a cliffhanger that left fans speculating as to the identity of the ghost who has moved on. Sam watched (and described to Jay) from the driveway of the Woodstone Mansion Bed & Breakfast as one of the ghosts got “sucked off” – the unfortunate term used by the dearly departed to indicate one has finally left Earth and is a ghost no more.

Exclusive: It pays to be alive — or dead — on CBS’ Ghosts. Following a very successful second season, the cast of the paranormal comedy have renegotiated their contracts, landing big salary increases while adding an optional year to their existing deals, Deadline has learned.
Produced by CBS Studios in association with Lionsgate Television and BBC Studios, Ghosts, an adaptation of the British format, stars Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar as Samantha and Jay, a young couple living alongside ghosts in a country house they’d inherited.
According to sources, McIver and Ambudkar have seen their paychecks double to $250,000 an episode.
The actors playing the ghosts, Brandon Scott Jones (Isaac), Richie Moriarty (Pete), Danielle Pinnock (Alberta), Asher Grodman (Trevor), Román Zaragoza (Sasappis), Sheila Carrasco (Flower), Rebecca Wisocky (Hetty) and Devan Chandler Long (Thorfinn) — whose salaries varied in the $35,000 – $55,000 per episode range — will each make $100,000 an episode next season, I hear.

Season 3 of Ghosts doesn’t yet have a release date. The ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike could put the season on ice for a while. Despite the hiccup, we know we’ll be seeing the season on CBS sooner or later, and there has been a lot of discussion about it since season 2 drew to a close in May. While Ghosts fans are open to just about any storyline, there is one they are hoping is completely off the table. Fans of the series don’t want to see any of the main ghosts get sucked off.

When Sam and Jay inherited Woodstone Mansion, they got more than they bargained for. We are talking about something other than the costly renovations, although those have added up over the last two seasons of Ghosts, too. Sam and Jay inherited a cast of complex and quirky ghosts along with Woodstone Mansion. While the spirits that haunt Woodstone keep the comedy series fresh, it can be hard to keep up with who is who. We’ve collected a cheat sheet ahead of season 3, so you’ll know exactly when each ghost lived and died.
Thorfin spent 500 years as the lone ghost of Woodstone Mansion
Thorfinn was the first spirit to inhabit Woodstone Mansion. Thor, along with his Viking shipmates, was exploring the area around Woodstone Mansion when he was separated from his group. He was eventually left behind.

The last episode before the two-part series finale for NCIS: Los Angeles featured Callen (Chris O’Donnell) getting a file on his life — and learning just how he and Sam (LL Cool J) ended up as partners. (And thankfully they did! Could you imagine the show without their banter? We can’t either.) In “The Reckoning,” Callen came face-to-face with Pembrook (Jere Burns), who had been part of the spy program he’d unwittingly been entered into as a kid. And in their last meeting of the episode, during which he got that aforementioned file, Callen also heard more about Hetty’s (Linda Hunt) role in his part in (and out of) it. She’d pulled him out of the program because she “was consumed with guilt” for putting him in it, wanting him to fulfill his potential. “That world was all she knew. It’s all she had to offer you,...

This article contains spoilers for the “NCIS: Los Angeles” series finale.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill’s goal with the series finale on Sunday, May 21 was to give the characters of the long-running CBS procedural as happy an ending as possible.
“It really was about trying to find a way to wrap up the series that would leave the fans feeling hopeful for the future of all our characters. And so we gave everyone what we figured was their version of happily ever after… at least for the time being,” he told TheWrap in a recent interview.
To that end, in the final episode, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony attended by the rest of the team — except for Hetty (Linda Hunt), who sends a congratulatory note.

It's traditional for a series finale to, you know, wrap up things.
NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 21 took a much different approach in its conclusion.
Callen and Anna's storyline took its next natural step, which was the highlight of the finale. Beyond that, almost every other storyline was left hanging.
The only way this makes any sense is if CBS announces the latest NCIS spinoff this week.
The only other possibility was that producers didn't get word of cancellation in time to rearrange the final season adequately. That doesn't seem likely, as cancellation has been possible for the past few years.
Before anything else could happen, the team had to wrap up its current gunrunning case as quickly as possible to allow time to address all the personal storylines (or so we thought).
Sam and Callen rather expeditiously got out of their threatening situation unscathed, although the Challenger wasn't nearly as fortunate.

Ghosts fans watched the season 2 finale of the famed series on Thursday and were given a massive cliffhanger to end the season. In the final moments of the season, viewers watched one of the beloved ghosts get “sucked off,” but they did not find out which one it was. The series' penultimate episode did its job, but not much more.
NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 20 was a placeholder, in between Callen gaining needed revelations about his Drona Project past on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 19 and the series conclusion.
A placeholder before the Callen-Anna wedding. That's appropriate, right?
To remember that NCIS: Los Angeles is a procedural, there had to be one last case with a name guest star, in this case, mixed-martial arts star Randy Couture.
Couture has been making a name as an action actor over the past two decades (and let's not forget Dancing With the Stars). But this was his first visit to the NCIS universe.
Hey, how about this as a spin-off? NCIS: Chokehold, starring Couture and Bill Goldberg. Fill out the cast with a diverse handful of lesser-known actors and bring in Hulk Hogan as the squad's wily leader.

Remember "The Full Monty," friends? The British comedy from director Peter Cattaneo and "Slumdog Millionaire" writer Simon Beaufoy earned critical acclaim across the board for its funny and charming story about six unemployed men, including four former steel workers, who decide to form a male striptease act in order to get through some tough times. The film went on to land Academy Award nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Original Musical or Comedy Score, even though it only won the latter.
Now, "The Full Monty" will have a chance at winning a whole new slate of awards because it's getting a sequel TV series at FX (on Hulu) with original cast members Robert Carlyle, Mark Addy, Lesley Sharp, Hugo Speer, Paul Barber, Steve Huison, Wim Snape, and Tom Wilkinson all reprising their roles from the movie. It's been 25 years since they bared it all, so...

Where is Maury Povich when you need him? He could've solved this paternity issue like no other.
The future of Woodstone Manor was put into chaos when a new heir arrived in town on Ghosts Season 2 Episode 22.
Family secrets and ghostly troubles kept the crew busy, but we were treated to a must-see season finale -- one of Ghost's best episodes by far!
"The Heir" was a perfect mix of everything we love about Ghosts. A chaotic issue at the manor, some heartfelt moments, off-the-wall comedy, and everyone banding together as a loving family.
Ghosts Season 2's finale was a smash hit, showing us yet again why Ghosts is one of the best comedies on TV.
The arrival of the new heir seemed fishy right from the start.
I've watched enough daytime and primetime soaps to know that whenever a long-lost relative arrives out of the blue, they almost always want money.

It’s going to be a long and worrisome hiatus for Ghosts fans following Thursday’s Season 2 finale, which left the fates of Sam and Jay’s beloved mansion spirits up in the air.
At the episode’s start, the couple gets an unwelcome surprise: Someone else might be the heir to the Woodstone estate! Thus, the house rightfully belongs to Kelsey,...

Finally, Callen got some long-overdue closure.
It was the source of those revelations that was so unexpected on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 19.
At long last, Grisha came face to face with the monster of his nightmares, Howard Pembrook.
Callen's meeting with Pembrook also nicely dovetailed with the case of the week on which the rest of the team (minus Sam) was working.
We got the hint that this was another Drona episode when it opened with Callen in the hospital room of comatose fellow Drona subject Leah, gravely wounded on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14 Episode 16.
A pair of CIA officers who, surprise, surprise, were also Drona subjects, were transporting Leah to a secret site under the auspices of protecting her.
Only they soon fouled that up. When another ex-drona subject was found tortured and killed, the remaining survivors gathered to discuss this development.
This decision only served to make...

With its third-to-last episode ever, CBS’ NCIS: Los Angeles this Sunday night made headway in answering Callen’s lingering questions about his childhood as a Drona subject.
This week’s episode saw Callen get invited to a meet-up with Harold Pembrook (played again by Jere Burns), though the elusive and infamous Drona shrink went to great pains to make sure that he and Grisha were alone and not surveilled. To that end, he led Callen into a swimming pool… a change of clothes… and then a van (inside of which Pembrook was crouched with a pistol). Pembrook then directed Callen...
