Decided to follow his passion for acting after traveling Europe for three months as a teen.
Auditioned for Matt Shakman's Cut Bank on a whim, and was cast as Harriet, a friend of Teresa Palmer's character (even though the scenes were cut before they made it to the screen). She credits his love of film to that experience.

Assumed he would go into genetics as a teen, as most of her immediate and extended family worked in either science or business. It was only after working with a youth theatre company (of which one of the founding members was Brendan Meyer ) that he discovered her identity as an actor.
