Well, here we are in the closing weeks of summer movie season. It’s the last gasp for big-budget blockbusters before the coming fall festival season, but there are plenty of indie alternatives for whatever your tastes may be. Mount Pleasant has quietly gone about its business since launching on Sky1 in 2011, and it returns on the channel for a fifth series tonight (September 11) after three years on Sky Living.
Neil Fitzmaurice - perhaps best known for the dastardly Jeff in Peep Show and his Phoenix Nights work with Peter Kay - is also back as office manager Fergus, and he told Digital Spy that he is impressed by its continued popularity.
"Like anything on TV, it's a business, and if you put a show on and it does okay and sort of trundles along, maybe you'll get two series out of it," he said. "The special thing about Mount Pleasant is that it just steadily got bigger and bigger every year. That's not something that happens all the time.
"The fans have been fanatical since day one, and they have been joined by fans who have steadily watched...

Mount Pleasant has been confirmed for a fifth series.
The comedy-drama will return on Sky Living, the channel announced on its official Twitter account.

Mount Pleasant centres on the day-to-day life of Lisa - played by Sally Lindsay - as well as her husband, parents, neighbours and colleagues.
The programme also stars Daniel Ryan, Bobby Ball, Paula Wilcox, Sian Reeves, Samantha Womack and Nigel Harman.
The fourth series, which comprised of eight episodes, concluded on November 4.

Mount Pleasant is returning to Sky Living for a fourth series, it has been confirmed.
The comedy drama, which stars Sally Lindsay and Daniel Ryan, will return later this year.
Sky Living's director Antonia Hurford-Jones said that the show had been "a big hit with viewers".
Nigel Harman, Bobby Ball, George Sampson and Samantha Womack will return for the fourth series, alongside Neil Fitzmaurice, Nicola Millbank and Ainsley Howard.
New cast members include Daniel Ings (Psychoville) and Naomi Bentley (Primeval).
Sky's head of comedy Lucy Lumsden said: "We're very pleased that the much-loved Mount Pleasant will be back for a fourth series later in the year on Sky Living.
