Alyssa Milano shared a scene with Christopher during an episode of Charmed and the actress paid tribute to him calling him “a wonderful actor.”
“It feels like the world is caving in. It's not unusual for artists to have a complicated relationship with their work. Whether it's a piece that fails to land with viewers or a successful passion project that ultimately gets sucked into the commercial machine, it's an especially tight line for filmmakers to walk. For George Lucas, 1977's "Star Wars" (by 1981 it would be retitled "Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope") was the latter: an offbeat, mystical science fiction film that he had spent years developing and for which he had the lowest expectations. After all, the story of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hammill) leaving the comfort of his home planet to learn the ways of the mystical Force and befriend a ragtag rebel group facing off against an evil Empire was no sure thing.
"Star Wars" would go on to cast an awfully long shadow, creating a massive franchise and media phenomenon that would tie Lucas up...

The question asked back in the ’80s and ’90s was never, “Have you seen The Star Wars Holiday Special?” It was always, “Have you heard of The Star Wars Holiday Special?”
We’re talking about a 1978 air date, after all. Someone must have owned a Vcr, since bootleg copies of the maligned variety show do exist on the Internet (George Lucas has vehemently denounced the project and even Disney has refused to release a “clean” copy beyond putting the animated segment “The Story of the Faithful Wookiee” on Disney+.) But its existence was akin to legend back then. Just knowing was enough to be cool with details being learned rather than experienced.
So it’s shocking that it’s taken until 2023 to finally receive a “definitive” look at its creation and eventual lambasting. Jeremy Coon and Steve Kozak’s A Disturbance in the Force thus seems almost like a miracle...

It's likely that when you read a Batman comic, you hear his voice. Whether it be the gravely threatening rasp of his Caped Crusader or the suave swagger of his Bruce Wayne, that's Kevin Conroy you're hearing.
He was the definitive voice of Batman for the past 30 years, portraying the role in TV, movies, video games, and a rare foray into live-action. Yet, that moody and driven Dark Knight persona couldn't have been any further from the reality of the man with the infectious laugh who loved to sing and was capable of penning a wonderfully honest account of the trials of being an openly gay actor.
The man who Mark Hammill said will always be his Batman died on November 11, 2022, leaving behind an incredible body of work and a legacy that will never be forgotten.

When Star Citizen was publicly revealed via Kickstarter in 2012, it felt like a dream come true for many gamers. Led by Wing Commander creator Chris Roberts, Star Citizen’s record-breaking crowdfunding campaign seemingly left it in an ideal position to fulfill some ambitious promises by becoming not just the ultimate sci-fi gaming experience but a title funded and developed outside what was seen as the traditional studio systems.
Years later, though, Star Citizen‘s journey has practically become defined by its controversies. As the debate rages on regarding nearly every aspect of this title, it becomes increasingly clear that the quality of Star Citizen as a video game has almost taken a backseat to the discussion about the title’s history, funding, where its development stands, and what the final chapter on Star Citizen will say.

The Force was strong tonight in Los Angeles at the El Capitan Theater as the light side — and maybe some of the dark side — gathered for the world premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Stars of the final installment of the Skywalker saga including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Kelly Marie Tran, Mark Hammill as well as newbies in the Star Wars universe walked the “blue carpet” to celebrate the end of one saga that could possibly lead to some new stories.
“Without giving away specifics about the story, I would say our goal was to tell a story that feels like the inevitable conclusion of these nine films,” director J.J. Abrams told Deadline at the premiere. “Obviously any end resonates and feels strong — and possibly opens doors to other stories, but this was very much designed as the end of the saga.”

While several books have explored the fertile 1990s indie rock scene, precious few documentaries truly capture the period’s excitement. “Brainiac: Transmissions After Zero,” which premiered at SXSW and which will have its New York premiere Friday, offers a notable peek into the era via the lens of this arty Dayton, Ohio-based band that reached the top of the underground before tragedy touched the band due to a car accident which took the life of the act’s charismatic lead singer, Tim Taylor, just before the band were set to sign with a major label.
“Transmissions After Zero,” directed by Brooklyn-based filmmaker Eric Mahoney — and with funding help from fellow Ohioan Trent Reznor and actor Mark Hammill — chronicles Brainiac’s unlikely rise and subsequent fall with intelligence and humor. The way that I always heard the joke told was like this: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fischer and Mark Hammill were all sitting around on the set of the original Star Wars (1977). George Lucas walks up to them and hands them each a contract. He says “sign on the dotted line and you’ll have a career after this movie wraps.” Everybody laughs it off. Carrie and Mark throw theirs away. Harrison bashfully signs his after the others slink off and turn it back in to Lucas. As funny as it was to explain away why Harrison Ford became such a

I love the month of October! Leaves are changing colors, the air outside is crisp and cool and of course, horror movies fill television screens day and night at this time of year. The other reason I love October is because it’s my birthday month and this year I got two very special gifts. This October will stay in my heart for two reasons. Reason number one is that I asked my girlfriend for her hand in marriage and she said yes, and the second reason is that the man, the myth, and the legend, himself, Mark Hamill replied to a tweet I tagged him in earlier this month.
A reply to a tweet might not sound that amazing, but I think it’s cool considering a legend like that would agree with something that I had to say on social media. What was said in the tweet was...

Do you want to like Mark Hamill even more? A wonderful untold story was recently shared of a time several years ago when Mark Hamill went out of his way to meet with a young terminally ill Star Wars fan who was dying of juvenile Batten's Disease.
A screenwriter by the name of Ed Solomon (Men in Black and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure), who has no connection to Mark Hamill at all, was asked by his friend, Joe Sikorra, to try and see if he could set something up with the actor. John, the child of Solomon's friend, was a huge fan of Star Wars and he just wanted to meet his hero Luke Skywalker.
It seemed like a long shot but Solomon called Hamill's agent and everything seemed to work out great, which is so cool! You can read the full moving story in the tweets below:

Screenwriter Ed Soloman shared a heartwarming story on Tuesday about the time “Star Wars” star Mark Hamill made a sick child’s wish come true. “When a friend’s son (who was, so tragically, dying from an incurable illness) made a wish: to meet Luke Skywalker, it fell on me — the only person the dad knew who worked in the film business — to make a call,” Solomon wrote in a series of tweets. “Not knowing Mark, I called his agent and explained that this lovely boy watched Star Wars every day and wanted to meet Not Mark Hammill, but, rather,...

It's not fun and games in the latest Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi. The new trailer is out and it suggests Rey might not turn out to be the only hope as a Jedi. Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hammill) line, "This is not going to go the way you think," and a few other lines suggest Rey will go to the dark side. The trailer reveals a lot. Hopefully it's a diversion.

Kevin Conroy is a name that ought to ring a bell for DC fans; after all, this is the actor who has lent his voice to the role of the Caped Crusader for years, a tenure than spans Batman: The Animated Series along with Rocksteady’s critically-acclaimed Arkham games.
Conroy will next don the cape, cowl and gravely voice as the World’s Greatest Detective for Batman: The Killing Joke, and while doing the rounds to promote the animated flick, the actor spoke to IGN about all things DC. While there have been countless interpretations of the character of Batman, one could argue that there is one man who can be most closely be described as the "definitive" Batman -- at least on a vocal level. I'm talking about the master himself, Kevin Conroy, who takes the cake as the actor who has played Batman more than anyone else, and for a longer timespan, which is going on 24 years at this point.
Given how long Conroy has had to get into the Bruce Wayne/Batman psyche, it's probably worth it to at least listen to the man when he expresses his opinions on different iterations of the character. One could argue that he knows this character better than anyone else on the planet.
Conroy began with some serious praise on both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in how they played the Caped Crusader:
"And there have been so many actors that have been wonderful.

With just days left before Jj Abrams’ new chapter of the Star Wars saga lands in cinemas, Los Angeles hosted the global press conference with a large selection of cast and crew talent. Inevitably, Mark Hammill wasn’t there, and neither was Jar Jar Binks. Read into that what you like.
For a production so notoriously shrouded in secrecy, the press day was actually pretty insightful. Obviously spoilers of what Is in the film were kept to something of a minimum, as Abrams didn’t want any pre-release marketing to “show you the movie in cliffs notes form. Disney actually took the lead to keep things quieter.”
But the panel members (split into two sets) did go into a lot of detail about the production, as well as offering some story and relationship details and openly admitting what Isn’T in the film. And there’s some choice nuggets...
