Christopher Marshun (Sky) Govan, born February 23rd, 1985 in the poor
west side of Chicago, Chris was the middle child out of 2 other
children. As a young child, his mother moved him and his two sisters to
Atlanta with her new husband. His mother raised him as a toddler in
Atlanta until the abusive step father threatened the life of his mother
Lowanda Govan.
His mother was then forced to trust a family friend to drive him and his two sisters, Kiaylah and Monique, back to Chicago to live with their Grandmother, Jean Scott where he would be raised. Chris and his family didn't have a lot growing up, especially while in Chicago.
After his Grandmother took him and his two sisters in, that meant that she had to now support a family of 7 along with Chris's mother who had to handle the family disaster in Atlanta, and she had to do it alone. Being back in Chicago brought a lot of trouble for Chris. He got involved with the wrong group of people in which he met through his uncle.
Although Chris may have gotten involved in anything and everything bad for him, he was always very kind and pilot in school and very athletic. He played football, baseball, and was even discovered by the Jessie White tumbling team from doing advanced tumbling outside. After a short time with the Tumbling team, he was then recruited to do gymnastics in which he would clean the gym to compete because his grandmother couldn't afford the tuition.
When Chris was about twelve, his mother, which he hasn't seen in many years finally got her life back on track returned into his life. Chris and his younger sister Kiaylah moved to Atlanta to be with their mother, while his older sister Monique stayed in Chicago to look after their Grandmother.
Arriving back in Atlanta, he attended Jolly Elementary in Stone Mountain GA where he joined band and played the Alto Saxophone. He then played the Alto Saxophone and Tuba in concert band in high school. Sticking to is natural athletic abilities, Chris joined the tennis and the track team at Clarkston High School.
While in high school Chris also had an urge for the entertainment industry. He participated in plays and even produced a short gangster film in his 12th grade literature class along with three others.
After he graduated high school, Chris went straight to college where he majored in theater. He participated in many plays, and even took acting classes off campus at Nick Conti's Professional actor studio.
After a year of acting, Chris then focused on pursuing his degree in Marketing but obtained an internship with "411 The Show" as a PA. Chris then became a segment producer of the show's "Check Please", which brought to life what Chris really wanted to do with his life, which was to have his own show.
