Iron Man’s sacrifice at the end of Avengers: Endgame is considered one of the most crucial moments in the history of the MCU. However, there has been continuous speculation about why Tony Stark had to be the one to use the stones to take down Thanos and his Army.

Who could’ve imagined that the thrilling ensemble of Marvel’s Mightiest Heroes, who stole our hearts in 2012’s superhero extravaganza, would find their way back to us in such a spectacular reunion? Did we mention that Mark Ruffalo played a major role in making all of this possible?
As we all know, The Avengers’ dream team, featuring the incomparable charisma of Robert Downey Jr. and the fierce prowess of Scarlett Johansson has bid a seemingly final adieu in the epic finale of Avengers: Endgame. Sure, there is no denying that the film was indeed a cinematic juggernaut that not only shattered box office records by grossing over $2.79 billion worldwide but also marked a poignant farewell to beloved characters.

The iconic ‘Whodunnit’ franchise Knives Out’s ensemble cast is getting bigger and bigger with each passing movie. In the upcoming third installment, Daniel Craig will be reprising his role as Detective Benoit Blanc and will star alongside a slew of well-known Hollywood actors. According to Deadline, MCU star Jeremy Renner has also joined the cast.
Note that, as of now, it is unclear if Renner will be playing himself or a new character. However, some skeptics have raised concerns that the trend of casting MCU stars as villains in the franchise may have gone too far, potentially ruining the original charm of the series. How?

The transition from good to evil has fascinated writers for centuries. Forcing characters to dance on the line of morality has always intrigued audiences more than two-dimensional characters with simple moral compasses. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is well-known for administering such dilemmas to their viewers through the characters they make.

Be it Kilmonger in Black Panther, Thanos’ noble motivations to wipe out half the universe, or the execution of the Punisher’s justice, it is difficult for fans to condemn some villains when their motivations are so complex. Despite this, there are a few characters that have stayed consistent over the years, even though the law would disagree.
Five of the main six Avengers have managed to always have a strong moral compass, ever since the 2011 film, and these traits have stayed consistent. However, it would seem that their actors have played parts that juxtapose their iconic roles.

The MCU is currently the biggest cinematic universe ever, with 33 movies and dozens of live-action shows. It has introduced hundreds of characters, ranging from humans to gods and strange creatures. Some characters protect the Earth from evil forces, while others seek to plunge it into chaos.
Judging the overall strength and powers of these characters is tricky since it depends on the situation and how they use their abilities. To get a clearer picture, we turned to Ranker, where nearly 7,000 fans voted for who they think is the most powerful character in the MCU. Here are the results.
10. Vision
I was surprised to see Vision ranked so high on the list, while his creator didn’t even make the top 15. But it makes sense. Vision was created by the Mind Stone, and characters with powers from the Infinity Stones tend to rank really high.

By the end of the series, he knew he was the only person who could take on the role of Captain America. Now, where do we go? In the Marvel Universe's latest possible future, the world is still haunted by H-Day, a battle with the artificial intelligence Ultron that resulted in the deaths of many heroes.
The elderly Steve Rogers was recruited by Luke Cage, who formed an underground resistance called the Defenders to fight against totalitarian forces. Steve retook the Super-Soldier Serum and became Captain America once more, recruiting Ms. Marvel, Thor, a new Hawkeye and Tony Stark, now housed in a robotic body, to his cause.
James Stark, the son of Iron Man and the Wasp, has been corrupted by his mentor, who was revealed to be the Red Skull in disguise. With James' help, the Red Skull launched a government coup, killing the U.S. President and battling the Avengers in Washington, DC.

Avengers 5 was originally titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. However, the movie lost that shortly after Marvel Studios decided to take the focus off Kang the Conqueror (a reaction to Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania's mixed reviews and Jonathan Majors' firing).
While there have been some pretty reliable Doctor Doom rumours, a new actor is expected to play a Kang Variant who serves as the Multiverse Saga's main threat. Meanwhile, Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness writer Michael Waldron is overhauling Avengers 5's script after Jeff Loveness first took a crack at it.
He was supposedly fired from the project shortly after the Ant-Man threequel flopped, while Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton left the movie to focus on Wonder Man and the Shang-Chi sequel.
Scooper @MyTimeToShineH has shared an update on Avengers 5 today, claiming that pre-production begins next month.

Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboot has rightly generated hype considering the kind of updates that have come out thus far. While the characters were previously featured in the 20th Century Fox series, perhaps the most accurate depiction from the comics happened in 1994’s Fantastic Four: The Animated Series, as it featured multiple narratives taken straight from various traditional DC arcs.
The titular theory, which suggests that the upcoming movie might as well feature the same characters from the timeline seen in the animated offering makes sense on various fronts. Furthermore, it will also pave the way for the potential inclusion of the X-Men ‘97 characters in a future live-action movie.

The MCU journey began 16 years ago with the release of ‘Iron Man’ in 2008. Since then, across 33 movies and numerous TV shows, we’ve been introduced to hundreds of characters. Whether their role was small or significant, each character had a chance to shine.

Kick-started in 2008 with prime Robert Downey Jr. taking over as Iron Man, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way from its roots. What started as a series of interconnected movies soon expanded into one of the entertainment industry’s largest ever following the release of 2012’s The Avengers.
The ultimate crossover laced with an intricate storyline gave fans a complete look at arguably the best comic book live-action universe, complete with actors that became synonymous with their roles.

The success of such a crossover largely came off the expertise and brainwork of Kevin Feige, John Favreau, and other early leads who had worked in the early age of superhero movies, that started taking shape in the late ‘90s. However, what if that age had happened a bit closer?

Deadpool & Wolverine will finally bring the Merc with the Mouth and Logan together, and while we're expecting heaps of cameos, there's one we know many of you are eager to see on screen this July.
In case it wasn't already obvious, we're talking about The Hulk. Wolverine debuted in the pages of The Incredible Hulk #180 for an unforgettable clash with the Jade Giant, and Marvel Studios now has the opportunity to recreate that somewhere in the Multiverse.
Offering us an idea of what it might look like is a new fan poster which sees Wolverine and The Hulk in the thick of battle.
As much as we'd love to see this in Deadpool & Wolverine, we wouldn't be surprised if Marvel Studios is saving this for Avengers: Secret Wars. Then again, with The Hulk brought to life with VFX, it might be easy enough to insert the Green Goliath into Wade Wilson and Logan's team-up.

In Marvel Comics, the Hulk has had a ton of variants ranging from the fiercest one who can destroy universes to the smart one who thinks rationally and decides to merge with Bruce Banner on an agreeable settlement, as was seen in Avengers: Endgame. However, bringing them out to live-action isn’t the easiest of tasks, and even Smart Hulk garnered some negative publicity.

This negative publicity started from the fact that the way Banner was directly shown as the result of his getting merged with his angry alter-ego to become the Smart giant in green instead of showing just how this tremendous transformation took place. That said, had the Russo Brothers not ignored one crucial scene with Mark Ruffalo, this new transition would have arguably been a lot less messy.

For some fans, the arc of X-Men as mutant outsiders fighting for their right to fit in, be represented, or at best, to co-exist beside humans, feels more real than the world they live in. As such, Professor Xavierʼs never-ending struggle to mediate, guide, lead, train, shelter, and sometimes pioneer the war against injustice and suffering also resonates among fans who see themselves as outsiders.

As Marvel True Believers will tell you, writer Al Ewing’s style is a fascinating synthesis of six different comics traditions. He has all of the bombast of Jack Kirby at his Kirbyest, the taste for the occult of Grant Morrison, the unrestrained imagination of Jim Starlin, the visual language of Alan Davis mixed with Christopher Priest, and the methodical formalism of Jonathan Hickman.

X-Men ’97 just finished its first season, one of the best things the MCU has ever released. Yet, way back in 1992, Fox Kids almost killed its predecessor before it had a chance to evolve.
In the new documentary special Assembled: X-Men ’97, three of the chief creatives on X-Men: The Animated Series reveal their struggles getting the show off the ground. Producer and director Larry Houston recalls working under Marvel Productions president Margaret Loesch, who always championed the X-Men throughout the ’80s, resulting in misfires like Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends or Pryde of the X-Men but no ongoing series. When Loesch took a role as head of Fox Children’s Network, she brought Houston with her and gave him his shot, with one caveat.
“The folks above her didn’t believe X-Men was gonna do anything,” says writer Julia Lewald, who, along with her husband Eric, worked as a writer on the original show.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe lost its biggest hero when Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man fell in Avengers: Endgame, but not after saving the day/Earth 616. Ever since then, the MCU has struggled to create the kind of projects that made it such a global success in the first place.
While most fans have asked for Kevin Feige and company to focus on originality and come up with new narratives that delve into the wealth of characters the Comics have on offer, some have also pressed for a Robert Downey Jr. return. Whether that is a potential option especially considering the actor’s own wishes, Feige had previously claimed they would ‘never want to mafically undo’ Stark’s heroic death.

There are few stories that have come out of Marvel that are as influential as Old Man Logan. There is no doubt, that the company has some of superhero fiction’s greatest stories, but few have the caliber and the complexity of a piece like Old Man Logan, which follows an elderly Wolverine, who has given up the use of his claws after he was tricked into killing the X-Men and other mutants in Xavier’s Institute.

The comic book served as inspiration (in part) for 2017’s Logan, which saw Hugh Jackman essay the role of Fox’s version of Wolverine for the final time. The book has some of Logan’s most violent moments, one of which shows how far Logan can go even without using his claws. The Marvel Cinematic Universe was once a blockbuster behemoth, churning out hit comic book movies with superheroes and villains who popped in and out of multiple franchises, occasionally culminating in the massive spectacle of "Avengers" movies. It all came to a magnificent head with the double dose of "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Avengers: Endgame," completing the masterful storyline dubbed The Infinity Saga and shattering the box office. Sadly, recent years have seen the MCU take a dive in quality as the quantity of their output in film and television has increased (something the comic book movie makers will be changing soon). But thankfully, Lego has a way for us to cherish the glory days of the MCU.

What makes a live service game successful? The constant cosmetics update in Fortnite is one way, while Helldivers 2 won’t ask for all your cash if you want to win, but will make you grind. If Chris Evans hated one thing about his role as Captain America, it was the time he spent making public appearances for the promotions. Evans shared that his anxiety made him a less-than-ideal candidate for such appearances. He mostly avoided appearing in shows where he had to perform in front of an audience, which meant he was one of the few MCU lead stars not to host an SNL episode.

Taking to social media to discuss his work on the series, former X-Men '97 showrunner Beau DeMayo revealed that Deadpool was "off-limits" to the team working on the X-Men: The Animated Series revival's first two seasons.
The prevailing theory among fans is that it must have something to do with Deadpool & Wolverine being on the horizon. The show has featured plenty of other big Marvel cameos, though, including Captain America, Spider-Man, and Doctor Strange.
Marvel Studios Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum recently caught up with Screen Rant (via Toonado.com) about Wade Wilson's absence from X-Men '97. As it turns out, there's a chance we will eventually see the anti-hero make an appearance.
"I don't know that it was like a hard and fast rule that we couldn't use Deadpool," the executive explained. "We would have had to have an insanely compelling reason to bring Deadpool in.

‘The Marvels’ was undoubtedly last year’s biggest MCU flop, losing a staggering amount of money. This prompted significant changes across the board, with Bob Iger emphasizing the need for the studio to focus on quality and reduce their creative output.

Most of us know Billy Corgan as the frontman of Smashing Pumpkins and outspokenness. But he’s also been the Owner and Promoter of the prestigious wrestling promotion the National Wrestling Alliance (Aka Nwa) since 2017. To say that Corgan is busy would be the understatement of the century. So it was surprising to hear that he’s starring in his own reality TV show, Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland. But I suppose everyone is diversifying in this complicated media landscape.
I was able to catch the first two episodes of Carnyland and it’s a fun enough time. I’d say that it’s very much geared towards wrestling fans, so fans of Smashing Pumpkins may be a little disappointed. But as a big wrestling fan, there’s a lot of interesting insight. Arriving right in time for the Merc with the Mouth's return to the big screen in Deadpool & Wolverine, Rob Liefeld returns with his final Wade Wilson saga this August: Deadpool Team-Up.
The five-issue series will serve as the legendary writer and artist's final blockbuster story; no one captures the Merc with the Mouth's lovable insanity like Liefeld, and in classic Deadpool fashion, Wade is holding nothing back in this latest round of unbridled action and high-stakes adventure.
In addition to featuring Deadpool’s supporting cast - from his fan-favourite allies to deadly enemies and everyone in between - Deadpool Team-Up also sees Wade assemble a crew that's wild even by his standards.
When you need some hired hands, Deadpool is your man. However, when the Merc with a Mouth needs assistance, he's got friends (and frenemies) from across the Marvel Universe. In the series, we'll watch as Liefeld weaves...
