Hamish grew up in North East Scotland and received the degree of BSc (Hons) in Media Technology from The University of Salford in 2000. After working as a Broadcast Engineer in the broadcast radio industry, Hamish started working for Cat and Mouse in 2004.
Cat and Mouse had started to provide computer systems for the worldwide game show phenomenon, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. In nearly a decade working for the company, Hamish provided compete graphics, control and other custom systems to dozens of productions, and collaborated on many more. One production required Hamish to design a system to make it easier to use Skype on TV. This ultimately lead to the acquisition of Cat and Mouse by Microsoft.
Hamish relocated to the US and to work for Microsoft as the system was adapted into what is now Skype TX. It has since won a Technology & Engineering Emmy® Award. After leaving Microsoft, Hamish continued his career providing computer systems for TV productions, starting with some of America's best-loved game shows including Family Feud, Match Game and To Tell The Truth.
