But when one of the hired kidnappers is accidentally killed during the charade, he's forced to actually save her life while not revealing that... Read More...

Ok, we all agree that Eva (Elizabeth Whitson) is just the worst person ever on Awkward, right? Not only is a lying psychopath intent on ruining everyone's lives at Palos Hills High, but Eva isn't even her real name! Sadie (Molly Tarlov) and Jenna (Ashley Rickards) discovered in the Awkward midseason finale that Eva, real name Amber Horn, was expelled from school as a nine-year-old after stabbing someone in the eye with a pencil (um, yikes) and has been homeschooling herself in her grandmother's house since then. That's right, she's not even a real Palos Hills High student, and yet she's managed to work her way into our favorite group of Palos Hills High teens. She's managed to...

After hurrican Eva (Elizabeth Whitson) blasted through Awkward in the first half of season four, leaving a devastated Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) in her wake, we've been anxiously awaiting the second half of the season to find out if the psycho-stalker really is preggers. She can't really have Matty's bun in her oven, right?! We couldn't wait for the midseason premiere of Awkward to air so we went straight to the showrunners, Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler, to get some answers pronto. And unfortunately, they confirmed one of our biggest fears. "At the end of the midseason finale, we got some pretty definitive proof. Eva went in with the test and came out with a...

A loss of control and structure has been a running theme amongst the seniors over the course of the season, with Jenna, Sadie, Tamara, and Matty all experiencing this to varying degrees. This week’s episode sees the seniors face opposition from a new source in the form of the school sophomores, in an entertaining outing that sets the latter seniors towards their individual crossroads.
Tamara’s self-inflicted stress over the progression of her senior year continues to be compelling. With the pressures of senior year beginning to weigh down on many characters in last week’s season premiere, it was only a matter of time before the strain started to manifest itself in the characters’ actions. None of this, of course, accounted for any out-of-school issues that could be equally as difficult to cope with, and could further complicate matters. With production set to begin on Ravenswood next month, it seems a little crazy that the Pretty Little Liars spinoff would be dealing with a pretty gigantic casting shake up. Though, I guess it’s better for it to happen now than in the middle of filming the show’s first couple of episodes; no reshoots will be required in this case. Still, Ravenswood is now down a cast member and the clock is ticking to find a replacement. Elizabeth Whitson departed the series when she was originally slated to star as Olivia. Amazingly, the role of Olivia is not the one that needs to be filled.
THR reported that, after Whitson departed, Merritt Patterson rose to the challenge of filling her shoes, leaving behind the part she was originally meant to play, Olivia’s former best friend Tess. Ravenswood is now looking for someone new to play Tess, while...

ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars spin-off Ravenswood is making a major casting change ahead of filming its pilot next week.
Merritt Patterson (photo, left) will replace Elizabeth Whitson as one of the series’ leading ladies, Olivia, TVLine has confirmed. Patterson had previously been cast as Olivia’s best friend, but has since been bumped up due to “the direction the character is now headed.”
Whitson, as a result, will exit the project. The Hollywood Reporter first reported on the recast.

New ABC Family show "Ravenswood," a spin-off of hit teen drama "Pretty Little Liars," has had a casting change. Elizabeth Whitson (above, right), originally cast to play Olivia, one half of a pair of brother-sister twins, is out of the show and Merritt Patterson (above, left), originally cast as Olivia's former best friend Tess, has stepped into the role.
In a statement to the Hollywood Reporter, the "Ravenswood" executive producers say the change came about because of a shift in the character.
"As we dug deeper into the mythology of 'Ravenswood' we decided to re-conceive the character of Olivia. Merritt Patterson seemed to be the best choice for the direction the character is now headed," reads the statement.
No one has yet been cast as the replacement of Patterson in the role of Tess. But we have to say -- Patterson certainly looks more like the twin sister of Brett Dier,...

Check out the hot, young cast of ABC Family's new summery reality series 'The Vineyard' -- Exclusive
Haven’t had time for the beach yet this summer? No worries: Consider getting away with the sun-kissed cast of ABC Family’s upcoming reality show The Vineyard. EW has the exclusive reveal of the Vineyard cast, including a group photo (above) and a show promo (below).
At first glance of this cast, one question comes to mind: Are we possibly staring at the next Hills-like phenomenon? The new reality series — which appears to possibly be a cross between Laguna Beach and The Real World — follows a mix of locals and so-called “wash-ashores” (translation: pretty people who are only...

With Pretty Little Liars being so popular, curiosity for its first spinoff, Ravenswood, is at a peak. What’s this new series going to be like and why is Tyler Blackburn’s Caleb Rivers the only Liars regular transferring over? Liars executive producer Marlene King gave us those answers and more. Since she’s overseeing both shows with fellow Ep Oliver Goldstick, she’s the one to go to with any questions.
Speaking with THR, King explained Caleb is moving on because of how little he knows about his past and parents. It was felt he was the best character to be uprooted and sent to explore the mysteries surrounding the new world set up in Ravenswood. Everything will be introduced in the seventh episode of Liars’ fourth season. “Toby (Keegan Allen) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will take us to Ravenswood,” said King. “They will follow a clue that will...

ABC Family is getting into the game show business. The cable network has greenlit "Spell-Mageddon" for a summer premiere. Just in case the intrigue of red coat’s true identity or the mystery of what’s in the trunk isn’t enough, there’s a new reason why you might want to catch season four of ABC Family’s hit show Pretty Little Liars.

What does American Horror Story have in common with Ravenswood, the pending ABC Family Pretty Little Liars spin-off? Well, both shows tend to deal with mystery, but first and foremost is pretty little actress, Britne Oldford, who is in the news today for joining the Ravenswood cast.
A Canadian actress, Oldford played Cadie Campbell in Skins and Alma Walker in a handful of American Horror Story: Asylum episodes. She was Kit Walker’s wife, Kit having been portrayed by Evan Peters.
Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. ABC Family's new "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off "Ravenswood" has cast two more female characters.
Nicole Gale Anderson has been tapped to play leading lady Miranda, a feisty foster kid who uses her wits to cover her emotional scars, reports EW. Anderson is an alum of the CW's "Beauty and the Beast."
And Deadline says Britne Oldford has been cast as Remy, a series regular who can fit in anywhere but doesn't belong to any one clique. She won't stop looking for the truth until she finds it. Oldford was previously seen on "Skins" and "American Horror Story."
These two beauties join the previously-announced Merritt Patterson, Brett Dier, Elizabeth Whitson and Pll regular Tyler Blackburn. "Ravenswood" will premiere in October as part of the annual Pll Halloween special.

The main cast of Ravenswood, the upcoming Pretty Little Liars spin-off is finally complete. Beauty and the Beast actress Nicole Gale Anderson recurs on the ABC Family remake and will jump to series regular status for the exciting new spin-off. Lucky us! Let’s review who our new characters are, shall we? Just recently I filled you in about the twins. Abel is “a lone wolf and old soul with a brooding intensity”. He’s loyal, but mysterious. Olivia, his twin sister was once prom queen, but whatever went down during those golden days has left her much less trusting and much more introspective.
