Pat Healy’s Take Me is a wild card – but what else would you expect from a man whose performances are just as unpredictable? It’s a nifty little whodunnit that’s loads of fun, given how every action remains in question. Writer Mike Makowsky keeps details simple, but still finds a way to manipulate characters with the help of Healy’s vision. You’d expect something a little more tense, but oddly good-natured goofs represent tonal comfort. Frankly, this shouldn’t work. A who’s-playing-who “thriller” that bumbles along to an oboe score? Like a cartoon might? Consider this one a not-so-criminal anomaly.
Healy also stars as the film’s lead character, Ray Moody, who runs a business called Kidnap Solutions that simulates real-life kidnappings for paying customers. Why, you ask? As Ray describes, he loves helping people. Whether you’re trying to kick an eating habit or need the isolation,...

Those who aren’t familiar with anything but the cute Teen Titans series are in for quite a surprise as the heroes return to their darker roots in Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, which is one of the most incredible efforts from the comics. The feature-length film is inspired by a story arc from the 1984 DC comic, and has an incredible voice cast backing the supremely gritty arc.
The Blu-Ray Giftset, which includes an exclusive Blue Beetle figurine, will hit on April 18th, with Digital HD release on April 4th.
In The Judas Contract, the Titans – Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin, and Nightwing – are led by Starfire, but their newest teammate, Terra, is throwing the groups dynamic out of whack, and the team comes up against Brother Blood, an ancient evil, and Deathstroke is waiting in the wings to cause problems as well.

This coming week, Marvel is issuing the second part of my work on Heroes For Hire and, as I did when the first volume came out, I thought I’d talk a little bit about it and why I made some choices that I did and what I was thinking when I created the stories.
Background info: my run on H4H began in 1997 and ran for 19 issues. The team was a corporate entity, hiring out groups of superheroes for various missions. Luke Cage and Iron Fist were the core, with the Original Human Torch, Jim Hammond, running the business. Lots of characters cycled in and out, the most constant being White Tiger, Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Black Knight and Thena of the Eternals. We also had lots of guest stars such as Hercules, Wolverine, Shang-Chi, She-Hulk and Deadpool who, not surprisingly, was featured on the cover.

The announcement is now live on the WonderCon website.
"Justice League vs. Teen Titans" welcomes the Teen Titans to the ever-expanding canon of classic DC Comics characters within the DC Universe Original Movies. When Damian’s over-aggressive tendencies almost destroy a Justice League mission, he is sent to learn teamwork by training alongside the Teen Titans. However, adjusting Damian’s attitude turns out to be the least of the Teen Titans’ troubles as Raven’s satanic, world-conquering father Trigon begins an escape from his inter-dimensional prison. Watch Nightwing dressed up as Batman team up with Batwoman to battle off a horde of Nunjas (Ninja Nuns) in one of two new clips that have been released for DC Entertainment’s animated film Batman: Bad Blood. The scene features the two “[encountering] a fortress heavily guarded by well-armed nuns.” It’s pretty damn entertaining to watch them beat the living hell out of these nuns. The second clip shows Batwing, Batwoman, Nightwing, and Robin dropping in to take on the bad guys.
When Batman goes missing, it will take the entire Bat “family” – including new additions Batwoman and Batwing – to keep the peace in Gotham City and unravel the mystery behind the Dark Knight’s disappearance in Batman: Bad Blood.

We’ve got two clips for you to watch from Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming animated film Batman: Bad Blood. The first clip is called “Dates,” and it’s an action sequence that features Nightwing fighting the villain Blockbuster. The second clip is called “Gone,” and it shows us a conversation Nightwing and Alfred have about Batman’s disappearance.
When Batman goes missing, it will take the entire Bat “family” – including new additions Batwoman and Batwing – to keep the peace in Gotham City and unravel the mystery behind the Dark Knight’s disappearance in Batman: Bad Blood.
This movie was inspired by a few different Batman stories including Batman: R.I.P., Batman & Robin, and Batman Inc. It's also a follow-up to the previous animated films Son of Batman and Batman vs. Robin. If you liked those two movies, then you're sure to enjoy this one.

Well, it was bound to happen: Kevin Williamson beat Kevin Williamson this Monday night, as the uberproducer’s two creepy creations went toe tag-to-toe tag for the first time.
Returning from its nine-week hiatus to a new night and time, CBS’ Stalker drew 5.7 million total viewers and a 1.3 rating (per finals), down 15 percent in audience but up a tenth in the demo versus its most recent outing (closing a Wednesday in February). Versus Scorpion‘s week-ago finale, however, Stalker was down a steep 44 and 36 percent.
Fox’s The Following meanwhile did 3.5 mil and a 1.2, adding a few eyeballs week-to-week while steady in the demo.

The CW’s Arrow returned this week with an episode that clearly illustrated the stark differences between it and sister superhero series The Flash.
Because whereas the lighter, brighter The Flash let loose Tuesday night with an hour that closed with a breathless, almost manic final 10 minutes, Arrow — by the nature of the storyline at hand, I suppose — needed to be talkier, more brooding.
But how much of everybody being angry at everybody can a person sit through over the course of forty-some minutes?

Director: Tate Taylor; Screenwriters: Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth; Starring: Chadwick Boseman, Nelsan Ellis, Dan Aykroyd, Octavia Spencer, Viola Davis, Jill Scott; Running time: 139 mins; Certificate: 12A
Chadwick Boseman is absolutely electric as the centrepiece of Tate Taylor's James Brown biopic, a film that seems to tell you everything and nothing about the man responsible for funk hits 'I Feel Good', 'It's a Man's World' and countless others.

Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth's script jumps through the years seemingly at random, showing us fragments of its subject – from being raised in the woods of South Carolina by an abusive father to joining The Famous Flames, solo superstardom and beyond.

If there’s one thing The Blacklist has taught us, it’s that Ray Reddington demands all eyes on him at all times.
But during the NBC drama’s Season 2 premiere, it wasn’t the criminal mastermind at the center of everyone’s attention. Instead, Monday’s jam-packed hour belonged to two very important (and very different) women.

Little House on the Prairie is an institution of television that really needs no introduction, but the newly released remastered edition of season one (and the upcoming releases of all the seasons) are worth a serious look.
Some shows from this era and beyond, especially those in fair rotation in syndication, are difficult to push as a truly necessary purchase, but there are a lot of notes to Little House which made the previous releases, and this one especially, true must owns for fans. Of course, that does make for a certain question mark if one already has the previously-released season DVD efforts.
First, while many may get a decent fill of the show through syndication, there are a lot of episodes that simply never get play. There are several episodes that are likely seen as too controversial, or just plain overly harsh to a full family sensibility, to come up in syndicated cycles,...

Hello kids! It’s Week 2 of NBC’s “The Voice,” and we have another four hours of blind auditions, so just sit back, relax, and let me love you. Here are my highlights from this week: 1. Swampy is a good thing, right? Ray Boudreaux’s indie pop appearance belies his soulful delivery, and his daughter kicked off a week of some of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen on this show (somebody get that girl a pilot!). While I don’t know that his voice is necessarily “swampy,” I do think Team Blake was lucky to get him onboard.

Presumably Discovery Channel would like to continue to do business with Nik Wallenda, after his live Sunday high-wire walk garnered good numbers for the network — weekly ratings came out this morning and Wallenda’s actual walk, which Discovery reported clocked 13 million viewers, would be the week’s fourth-most-watched telecast behind two nights of NBA Finals on ABC and one night of The Voice on NBC. And, after the walk, Wallenda said he was looking forward to working again with NBC News’ Today B-team, Willie Geist and Natalie Morales. They’d hosted Discovery’s coverage of the walk, which was produced for Discovery by NBCUniversal’s Peacock Productions (Today got the Wallenda interview the next morning). Not wanting to do business with Wallenda is the city of New York, where Wallenda announced during Sunday’s post-walk blah, blah, blah that he’d like to do his next made-for-tv wire walk between...

Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite Blu-Ray / DVD Review You can own this Blu-Ray / DVD today Synopsis: When Bruce Wayne receives the man of the year award, fellow billionaire Lex Luthor becomes jealous and decides to run for President. To create the atmosphere for his type of fear-based politics Lex recruits the Joker to perfect a Black Lego Destructor Ray which wreaks havoc on Gotham. As Lex destroys Batman's tech, Batman reluctantly turns to Superman for help. Review: The first thing to note is that this comes in a blu-ray / DVD combo pack, which is fantastic as a parent and collector. I keep the blu-ray and the kids can borrow the DVD. It works out great. The box set also includes an exclusive Clark Kent Lego mini-figure! A great bonus....although I'd rather have had a Bruce Wayne personally.
