- Composer
Andrea Vanzo (1989, Bologna) is a music composer, pianist, arranger and art producer.
Music has always been a catalyst for him: an expression of emotions and profound states of being especially in the fascinating world of cinema and theatre, where he finds his ideal artistic dimension.
He has participated in two specialisation courses in "Music for Film" at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (Italian National Film School) in Rome and at Civica Scuola di Musica "Caludio Abbado" in Milan.
He composed and performed music for several plays, such as "L'eremita contemporaneo" by Instabili vaganti, that received the "Total Theatre Awards" Nomination at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh. He wrote the music for several award-winning short films, obtaining the "Best Soundtrack" award at Corto Lovere for "Shame and glasses" (2013).
In 2016, he composed the jingle for the advertisement "E' tutto un quiz" for National Italian TV (RAI Pubblicità Air).
In 2016 he also focused on producing and arranging the album "Scorre un film" by Mario Farini - collaborating with well-known musicians such as Ivano Zanotti, Maurizio Piancastelli, Lorenzo Meo, Alberto Capelli, Alessandro Altarocca, Eugien Gargiola, Marco Zanardi.
Thanks to his recent collaboration with the singer and actress Matilda De Angelis, a song they have created together has been included in the TV drama "Tutto può succedere" - Italian remake of "Parenthood" - currently on RAI 1.
He is completing his studies in traditional music composition at the renowned G. B. Martini Conservatorio di Bologna.
