- He hosts a weekly podcast called "The Gorram Nerd Hour" for Abnormal Entertainment where he and co-host, Brian Smith, review b-movies, talk pop culture and rant for an hour.
- He once wrote a sequel to William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet for fun in high school. The story centered around the war that erupted between the Montagues and Capulets after they find out about the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. He wrote the whole thing in Iambic Pentameter.
- He worked at a video store for many years. During their downtime at the store his co-worker would walk the store and shout out a name of a movie at random. Nearly every time he could name the director from memory.
- His favorite director is Stuart Gordon.
- Met Bill Oberst Jr. at a horror convention called Rapture Horror Expo in Mesa, AZ and knew immediately he wanted to work with him. When the lead role in Terrestrial came open he immediately thought of Oberst and sent him the script.
