We walked into Sons of Anarchy‘s series finale with quite a few unanswered questions. And although it wasn’t neat and tidy, those loose ends were tied up by the end of the 113-minute broadcast.
Who lived? Who died? What became of the war on the streets, which came to a head during last week’s penultimate episode?
Read on for the highlights — and some of those answers — from Sons‘ final ride:
* There have been a few key moments we’ve been eagerly awaiting all season, and Jax visiting Tara’s grave ranks high on that list. At the start of the hour,...

Who would have thought that innocent, little, 5-year-old Abel (Ryder Londo) would be the one to spill the beans on Gemma's (Katey Sagal) dirtiest sin on Sons of Anarchy? Out of all the characters on the hit FX drama who know or at least suspect that Gemma had a hand in murdering Jax's (Charlie Hunnam) wife Tara (Maggie Siff) at the end of the season six finale, the one to finally tell Jax the truth was his eldest son. And even though Gemma will do anything to protect her family—as is evident from Tara's grisly death-by-carving-fork—will she become so enraged that she'll seek out revenge on the 5-year-old in the final three episodes?! When it comes to kiddie roles on TV, children are usually relegated to playing precious (or precocious) siblings or neighbors. But the job requirement for small children on FX's action-packed drama Sons of Anarchy is much more demanding - especially this season. That's why it requires two steely-eyed identical brothers to play Abel, 5, the troubled son of Samcro president Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) on the motorcycle drama that's nearing its nail-biting series finale on Dec. 9. (Read our postmortems with Mark Boone Junior (Bobby) and Annabeth Gish (Jarry).) Peter Weller, who directed the episode—and, of course, recurs on the series as Charlie Barosky—spoke to EW about those memorable scenes, what makes Sons special, and how the Nov. 18 episode, which he also directed, nearly destroyed him. Entertainment Weekly: How tough was it to shoot Bobby's death scene? Weller: I'm a real crybaby.

Anyone else starting to see a pattern in these final Sons of Anarchy episodes?
Following Bobby’s unfortunate capture (and loss of an eyeball) in last week’s installment, Tuesday’s hour found Jax & Co. going through very similar motions: Trying and failing to gain the upper hand on an enemy, getting brutally violent when things don’t go according to plan and — after receiving another body part of Bobby’s in a package from Moses Cartwright — silently realizing just how deep this rabbit hole goes.
