Dean Whitney(1946-2015)
- Producer
- Writer
- Director
After thirty years in the music business as a producer, publisher, and
independent record company owner, Dean felt it was time for a change of
professions. Staying true to his creative side, he wrote a
baseball-related novel, Pinch Hitter, which was published in 2008, and
then moved on to screen writing. In the fall of 2011 he decided to take
the plunge into indie filmmaking and began to plot out his first effort
as a writer, producer, and director: a short horror film entitled "The
Body Bag", which was completed in June, 2012. Shortly afterwards, Dean,
along with his actress wife, Judy, formed their own production company,
Undaunted Films, and plan on producing one film per year. First up is
the supernatural thriller "Ghostline", which was shot in the Spring and
Summer of 2013 and is slated for a 2014 release. Their next project is
a full length feature version of their award winning short film, "The
Body Bag", entitled "Curse of the Bokor".
