Actor Manuel Garcia Rulfo (The Magnificent Seven) was speechless the first day on set of Murder On The Orient Express when director and star Kenneth Branagh threw him into a scene with Judy Dench, Penelope Cruz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Johnny Depp, Derek Jacobi, Willem Dafoe and other actors without having met or rehearsed with them. Garcia Rulfo talked to CineMovie about how the cast bonded and the family atmosphere director Kenneth Branagh brought to the set.

Kenneth Branagh directs and stars in this adaptation of the great Agatha Christie’s novel, Murder on the Orient Express – perhaps one of her most memorable titles for its surprise ending that shall not be spoiled here. Initial trailers for the film proved exciting, promising an adaptation that took the responsibility of presenting one of Britain’s best crime-writers very seriously. With the wealth of material available from Christie’s prolific career, there is hope this would be a new novel-based franchise. The film delivers on a beautiful aesthetic and unbelievable cast but falls a little short of maintaining the atmosphere needed to make this a film worth raving about – although it is a promising start.

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.
This Past Weekend:
Yikes. What a terrible weekend we just had, not only for the new movies released but also for the Weekend Warrior’s predictions. Clint Eastwood and Tom Hanks’ Sully won its second weekend in a row with just under $22 million, but as far as the new movies, neither Lionsgate’s Blair Witch nor Universal’s Bridget Jones’s Baby did very well, putting the last nail in the coffin (hopefully) for sequels/remakes trying to play upon nostalgia that just isn’t there. (Good luck to the Rings movie opening next month!) Blair Witch ended up with $9.6 million to take second place and both Bridget Jones’s Baby and Oliver Stone’s Snowden ended up with around $8 million, so...

Continuing his one-film-a-year streak, following Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, and Southpaw, director Antoine Fuqua‘s latest feature finds him remaking a western classic — itself a remake of a landmark Akira Kurosawa film. Yes, this fall we’ll be getting a new take on The Magnificent Seven, and today we have the first trailer.
Led by Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke, Vincent D’Onofrio, Lee Byung-hun, Manuel Garcia Rulfo, Martin Sansmeier, Haley Bennett, Peter Sarsgaard, and more, Fuqua has assembled quite a diverse cast for the project. This first preview is certainly a slick one, even though we’re not quite sure yet another remake has us all that interested. Nonetheless, the chemistry of the cast should make it worth checking out. See the trailer below, along with new images.

Are you ready for a remake of a remake? USA Today has released the first pictures from Antoine Fuqua‘s remake of “The Magnificent Seven,” which itself was a Western remake of Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai.” Both movies are classics, and the usual question of “why do we need this?” that accompanies any remake will assuredly plague this most recent one, even though Kurosawa’s story has inspired numerous other films, like “A Bug’s Life.” Fuqua’s film answers this question with an impressive cast led by Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt. Also included in the Seven are Ethan Hawke,...

Cinelou Films has released the trailer for Jennifer Aniston's upcoming film, Cake, which is getting lots of Oscar buzz for Aniston.
The film also co-stars Felicity Huffman, Sam Worthington, Anna Kendrick, Camille Mana, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Chris Messina, William H. Macy. Britt Robertson,Lucy Walters, and Manuel Garcia Rulfo.
Cake follows Claire Simmons (Jennifer Aniston) who is in pain. Her physical pain is evident in the scars that line her body and the way she carries herself, wincing with each tentative step. She's no good at hiding her emotional pain either. Blunt to the point of searing insult, Claire's anger seethes out of her with nearly every interaction. She has driven away her husband, her friends - even her chronic-pain support group has kicked her out.
The only one left in Claire's otherwise solitary existence is her housekeeper-cum-caretaker, Silvana (Academy Award nominee Adriana Barraza), who barely tolerates her boss' need for liquor and prescription pills.

Jennifer Aniston will have quite the “support” group of actors for her next journey into indie film format. Moving away from familiar rom com territory, TheWrap reports that the A-lister and the previously announced Adriana Barraza and Mamie Gummer will be joined by Sam Worthington, Anna Kendrick, Chris Messina, the wife-hubby tandem of Felicity Huffman & William H. Macy, Britt Robertson, Lucy Walters, Camille Mana, Manuel Garcia Rulfo and finally, Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Daniel Barnz’s Cake, a 2013 Black List project, should be lensing fairly soon. Messina will play Aniston’s ex-husband who still cares about her deeply, while Huffman will play the facilitator of the support group. Kendrick will appear as a ghost who taunts Claire. Mana will play Claire’s nurse, who has no patience for her demands.
