James Crowder is a Guatemalan-American born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. In his early teen years, he worked as a Production Assistant on Lucas Reiner's The Gold Cup (2000) and on Harry Shearer's Teddy Bears' Picnic (2001). After studying film and politics at California State University of Northridge, he joined the crew of House (2004) as a PA for four seasons. He then went to work for the YouTube production company Reckless Tortuga as a Script Supervisor on Extra Butter, Please (2011) and as the 1st Assistant Director for
The CLAN (2013). He then become an Executive Assistant at the LA based production company Stellascope helping produce Beck: Heart Is a Drum (2014). He is now directing and writing his own films. His latest shorts, Princess Princess (2019) & Luna di Morte (2023), can be seen on Youtube.
