The Disney Family Singalong returned to ABC for an encore on Sunday, dedicating all 15 star-studded performances to moms (which is kind of ironic, when you consider how mothers usually fare in Disney movies.)
The festivities began with an “impromptu” performance by Seth Rogen and the Muppets, followed by a quick warm-up, courtesy of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt‘s Tituss Burgess. Watch the opener below:

Exclusive: Mean Girls led the field by winning eight prizes, including Favorite New Musical, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child won Favorite New Play in the 18th annual Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards.
The winners were announced today ahead of a cocktail reception for winners set for May 24 in Manhattan. The list of winners (see full list below) overlaps to some degree with the Tony Award nominees. But because they were determined by nearly 21,000 fans voting in a Broadway.com survey, there are some notable departures, with The Parisian Woman winning twice and Lobby Hero‘s Chris Evans also getting on the board.

Disney’s 2012 Tony-winning Broadway musical Newsies makes its debut on the big screen this week, playing in movie theaters nationwide for three days beginning Thursday as part of a new partnership between Fathom Events and Disney Theatrical Productions.
It’s an unexpected move for the cult favorite, which had a long journey to success.
Newsies was primed to be the High School Musical hit of 1992 — with a cast of singing and dancing teens (including a young Christian Bale), a score by composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Jack Feldman, and future HSM director Kenny Ortega at the helm.
